Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1969 GTO Parts Chassis. Original color was (Y2) Mayfair Maize I bought this car to cut up for parts, but decided not to when I saw that the car was salvagable. Car came equiped with a cordova top, P/B Radio, console automatic, factory disk brakes, Turbo Hydromatic transmission, power steering and Ralley II's. This is a rolling Chassis ONLY......NO MOTOR, TRANSMISSION, INTERRIOR OR WIRING. NO SIGN of ever having been in a collision. Quaters have some minor rust but very salvageable. Comes with two enduro Bumpers both need restoration. The red one was used to tow the car at some point and needs to be straightened, but the rubber is complete, needs sanding and refurbishing. Second bumper is straight, needs refurb. Radiator support is solid with some surface rust, a reproduction costs $175 plus $80-150 for shipping. Floors in very good shape but will need replacement on the passenger side. Front tortion braces are in great shape; front and rear floor braces are solid. Rockers are in great shape, barely even surface rust. Rear seating area is in great shape very little surface rust and no holes. Trunk pan and extentions should be replaced, braces look good; tail light panel and rear floor brace is very solid. Fenders are solid and straight, but have the usual rust holes behind the wheels, driver side has a good wheel house. Roof is solid and straight, some filler where the cordova top was removed. Doors are salvageable with some minor dings and some rust in bottom corners, otherwise they close well and come with the glass. This car will need both front and rear windlaces replaced or repaired, A-pilars are prety good, but will need a little work at the cowl. A good body shop can do this without any noticaeable repair, or you can get a donor set from a lemans. The rear section will need the sill along the package tray and trunk brace replaced. Two hood included but are both rough, white hood is straight but rusty in the front lip and by the rear vent. Has the hole for a hood tach and can be fixed by a competent body shop, blue one is good for sheetmetal only, not repairable. Rear bumper needs rechrome or replacement. Rear end looks to be the original 3.55 axle casting 9795082, number above that looks to be 1068, from what I uderstand that is the year and month of the casting, which coresponds with the early production of the car. Comes with brake booster, proportioning block, original steering box, factory disk brakes, and steering column (not original to the car). Brake and fuel lines look solid, with some surface rust. The complete rearend is worth between $400 and $1000 alone. Disk brakes and ralleys are worth another $200-$400. Frame is solid with surface rust throughout and is worth around $700-800. I checked everything, short of taking the body off and only found surface rust with the worst flaking behind the rear wheels. Car has the original transmission (400TH) crossmember. Most of the stainless is there. Car is being sold AS IS with a clear Pensylvania title and PHS Documentation included. If you are buying the car for the frame only I'd be willing to strip what you don't want and will adjust the price acordingly, but you need to communicate with me before the auction closes. Parts alone are well worth the starting bid. If you have a 0 feedback or have less than 10 positive buyer feedbacks, I will cancle your bid unless you contact me. This is the third time I have listed it due to non-paying bidders. If you bid, bid to win or I will use the non-paying bidder policies on E-bay. I have done everything I can think of to describe this car, I know how hard they are to come by with a good frame and bracing. Yes the windlaces are troublesome, but they CAN BE FIXED. I have fixed worse. Unless you are looking for a concourse restoration, a little time and commitment and this GTO can be back on the road in a couple months. I have a running (LeMans Sport) 69 350 w/AT/transmission (needs head gasket) I will sell for $400.00, you can have it bored out to a 400/455 if you want but it ran when I pulled it. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL LIST THIS AS A WHOLE CAR. I CAN GET ALOT MORE IN PARTS THAN I AM ASKING AS A WHOLE. I NEED TO MOVE IT OUT BEFORE I DEPLOY. I HAVE LOTS OF OTHER PARTS I AM GOING TO SELL, IF YOU BUY THE CAR I WILL DEAL ON THE OTHER STUFF. OF NOTE IS A SOLID DECK LID (REPAIRED IN THE PAST ON OUTSIDE LOWER FACE) SOLID HOOD (NEEDS SOME STRAIGHTENING, WAS BENT AT HINGES, NO RUST) AND AN ENDURO MOSTLY COMPLETE (EITHER HIDEAWAY OR NON-HIDEAWAY) PRICES PENDING SALE AND WHO ACTUALLY COMES THROUGH WITH THE MONEY. IF YOU ARE LOCAL I WILL BE THERE THIS WEEKEND SO YOU CAN CHECK EVERYTHING OUT BEFORE BIDDING.
