Buick LeSabre LaSabre For Sale (see it spelled both ways) I have for sale a 97' Buick LeSabre automobile in very good condition other than the motor has just started making a grinding sound when you rev it up. The car belongs to my 80+ year old parents. I was taking them on a trip south to visit the coast when the car started giving trouble in Victoria, TX, making this noise and slowing down. The car has 130K miles on it. I have it in storage with a mechanic shop in Victoria. TX. The mechanic says this car needs a new engine, but the extent of this need is unknown until the motor can be looked into. The engine still starts fine and runs smoothly until you rev it up, that is when the sound starts. It also runs fine for a while, then starts slowing down. My parents and I have discussed this and they no longer want to keep this car. However, this car has been in my family and garage-kept since it was new. The red leather interior is near-mint. I have maintained this automobile for my parents since they bought it. It has received regular maintenance and treated well. For the first 2 years of it's life, it was also garage kept and received dealer maintenance was was owned by my uncle, so always in the family. Always garage-kept, the body is really nice. Here is a list of the recent items that I have done that can considered other than regular maintenance: Tires have ~10K miles. great condition Struts are near-new, they have ~5K miles, great condition AC - major repair to repair leaking temperature control system - repaired AC - freon recharge required only once (2 years ago) during life span (AC works well) The car is covered in dust in these photos, sorry did not have time to wash but body is in great condition .... GARAGE KEPT! The automobile is viewable by appointment only and each visit costs me to have it shown, so please, only serious buyers. There is no implied warranty expressed or implied other than the auto is exactly as I have described it and I have not attempted to hide any condition. I am selling this automobile under the pretext that it needs a new engine, even though the engine in it now will start and run for a short time before it starts to make a serious screeking noise.
