Vehicle Detail
This is a 1954 international harvester pickup. I bought this truck a few months ago, put it in my garage with the intentions of finishing it, and making it a daily driver, but I am in the process of opening a business, and could use the extra funds. I really dont want to get rid of it, but you have to do what you have to do.vAlso, I never transferred the title, so this truck is a 1 OWNER truck. Let me start off by saying this is the cleanest 50's truck I have EVER seen as a partial restore. the truck only has 28,000 original miles on it. there is NO ROT anywhere in the truck, just a FEW spots of surface rust. All original metal, no body work anywhere on the cab, front clip, or the outside of the bed. there is a little body work on the front of the bed, and tail gate, I would imagine from things sliding around in the bed. the cab, fenders, cab corners, rockers, floors, firewall, wheel wells, frame, and whole undercarrage are Perfect. The bed is also in AWESOME shape, it would be perfect if it wasn't for the body work on the front and tailgate. The story with the truck is; it was always garage kept, it had a frame off in the mid 90's, after the restoration, it sat untouched and undriven in a warehouse until about 8 months ago. The previous owned lost his garage, then it was put in his driveway, where i found it, for the past 8 months. that is the first time it saw rain since 1995. it was also painted in 95 with laquer paint, whick still looks pretty good, it is alittle sun faded, but only 8 months worth. It will buff out real nice. the gas in the tank was from the late 90's, i drained it, pulled the single barrel original holley, and was gonna rebuild it. the truck will turn over, and I dumped some gas down the carb, and it ran for a few seconds. the previous owner said once every few weeks he would crank the engine. it has a brand new 6 volt battery, new lights, original keys. windows are in very good shape with new soft rubber. I also have all new door and hood moulding. I have the seat frame, but it needs to be upolstered. all of the body trim, badges are in a box in good shape, will polish out almost like new. There is about 30' of n.o.s. wire loom. all of the wiring in in its original location, but the lights, and dash wiring needs to finish being hooked up. If somebody spent about a week of labor, and a few hundred dollars into misc. things, this truck would be an awesome survivor, and a daily driver. the starter was new in 95, no miles though, and 85% of the time it will crank, sometimes it will just click, but if you try to start it a few more times, it will turn over. Basically from what I can tell, all pieces are present for the truck except for the seat upolstery. the whole frame was blasted and looks like powdercoated to me, as well as the rear, front axle, leaf springs, and everything under the truck. the brakes and wheel cylinders were replaced, the clutch is new, and the master cylinder is new, but it is now leaking out of the plunger. all the brake lines were replaced. the truck is in just amazing shape. The backing plates are original, with no rusting or pits. the steering wheel spokes are cracked in two or three places, the horn button is in a box. new pedal rubbers, and a few boxes of new, or like new pieces. This truck is in very very good shape, and will make a new owner very proud. Especially if you dont want to be like everyone else, and have a late 40's chevy, or early 50's ford. I also have a reprint of the factory dealer book for this truck. it is like 500+ pages of literature, illustrations, and every part number down to every nut and bolt that is included with the truck. I have over 60 pictures of every angle of the truck, top, bottom, u name it, so if you would like to see more pics, email me at thewhitef150@gmail.com, or call with any questions, chris, 570-540-9830. I will deliver the truck within 300 miles for $1.50 per loaded mile. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due thru paypal within 24 hours of auction close, and the rest due in cash at the time of pickup or delivery. this truck is insured for $15,000 the way it sits. in number 1 condition, it is valued at just under $30,000, number 2 condition at $14,000, and number 3 at just under $6000. Also, this is a numbers matching truck, the engine matches the vin tag. this truck is an EASY number 2 condition with a few hours worth of tedious work. the truck has a 220" diamond fire straight 6, with 3 on the tree. these pictures really do not do this truck justice. the underneath is alittle dirty, and it looks exaggerated,
