Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1986 Ford Mustang T-top coupe. I bought this car a few years ago and had it shipped to Ohio from Arizona. It has not seen any weather since I have owned it. Has been kept inside being worked on since. There is not a spot of rust on this entire car. Has torque boxes in rear welded and full length subframe connectors installed. Car has all manual locks and windows so this is an extremely light car. I tore the car down to rebuild into a great driver car, but time and money are both on short supply and need to sell. Has hood pins installed. The car now has a completely rebuilt 8.8 rearend with all brand new parts. These include an Eaton 31 spline diff, Superior axles, 3.55 gears, differential cover and all new bearings, seals, and drum brakes. The rear suspension is also all new with tubular lowers with poly mounts and double adjustable uppers with spherical bushings on both ends. Rear shocks are used but only about 500 miles on them. Has a factory gas tank installed with tank insert and stainless braided lines run to engine compartment with holley pump and regulator and a Fram filter. Fuel pump, regulator, and filter are used, but all of the lines are new. Could use some work on the fittings out of the insert I wasn't real happy with the way it was done. This was in the car when I got it. Also fuel pump is currently mounted where passenger side muffler goes and should be moved for exhaust. All of the front suspension has also been rebuilt. All new 87-93 front brakes with poly mounts in the sand blasted and painted front control arms. They are mounted to a new tubular k-member. 500 mile front struts are installed to new caster camber plates. Has the larger 87-93 sway bars in the front and rear mounted with new poly mounts in the front. Car sits on Ford Racing lowering springs. Car currently has grey pony wheels on it, but comes with a set of 10 hole rims. They do have like new snow tires on the 10 holes. Car was converted before I got it to the new euro style front and rear bumpers along with the quarter windows. The windows are in rough shape but can be resealed to make due until new ones could be bought. The front bumper has some backyard mechanic work on the passenger side light mounts, but does work can't see with the lights installed. I was going to replace it when I had the car painted. Was only leaving it on since it was already white. Car also has a non-tilt column installed from I believe a 92. The flaming river steering shaft in the one pic is no longer in the car. Does not currently have any interior or wiring installed in the car. Does come with a complete wiring harness from a 92 4cyl. car except for the computer. Also comes with a 95% complete 90-93 black interior. Does not include the carpet and maybe a few small miscellaneous pieces. All of the big parts are there. Dash, door panels, quarter plastic, seats, seatbelts and console along with a bunch of other stuff. The seats are the standard black ones, but are in nice shape. Also has new power booster and master cylinder installed as well as all new lines to the rear all the way to the drums. Also has line lock installed. Now for the bad. The paint job on the car is not good. Tried wet sanding in a few spots and starts to look ok, but paint is thin and might sand through. Body has a few dings thoughout nothing major except for the lower quarter on the driver side. There is some poor body work there that was painted over and would need fixed. The weather stripping has all been removed so it could be replaced with new. Car has a ton of potential I just don't have the time or money for this. I currently have installed a roller motor and C4 trans that I will be willing to sell to the winning bidder. The short block is junk. Threads are pulling out of the head bolt holes. Was just using for set-up purposes. Engine does have installed edelbrock performer RPM intake w/ arp intake bolts, good factory e7 heads w/ head studs, 1.6 roller rockers, edelbrock water pump, new oil pump, new t-sump pan clearanced for long tube headers, new max 1-3/4 ceramic coated long tube headers and poly engine mounts. Transmission is a fully built C4. Full manual reverse valve body with a transbrake. Comes with a 3500 stahl converter and a hurst quarter stick shifter and cable. Engine and trans are $1500 with winning bid. Or if car doesn't sell or winning bidder doesn't want them the trans will be for sale seperately.
