volksrod for sale volksrod for sale 1974 Volksrod vw beetle for sale. Has ford axels on it for a 1925-1927 ford Here is our Volksrod (volkswagen Beetle from 1974). It is custom made with the top chopped and turned into a Volksrod, ratrod. It is painted flat black with red and white pinstrip paint job. It has red seats and as well as padded red sidewalls on the side. This car is mainly unique with having a ford axel put in the front along with it being a chop top. I have been told the axel is from a 1925 0r 1927 ford, also can be ajusted for turning. The axels on this car alone is worth a good bit. The headlights work, runs good but the battery is dead at the moment, do need to have turning lights put in, the wirring is still attached but not hooked up. When it comes to the breaks, you have the center breakhandle. The actual breaks need some work, also attached in the front. This wouldn't be hard due to having the wells attached already. Also has a crome set for the engine but has not been put on yet. I have added a few things to the car but selling what I bought it for. Hope this car goes to a good home and to someone that will have fun with it and make it a better car. If you have any questions please ask. Added many pictures hope they help. Note: This is a ratrod/volksrod so it is not perfect but is is a jumpstart for that one person that wants a volkswagen like this, all of the hard work is done. As you see in the lower picture there is a scrape in the paint on the lower porting on the front hood, just wanted to point that out, also, as you can see, kids like the car too! Hate to sell it but with 4 and a half vw's, it is time to downsize. This vehicle should be picked up by the buyer. If the buyer wants shipping, the buyer must do the work on their own and picked up at the location of the car. Just keep in mind that there is no top.
