Vehicle Detail
Hi up for auction is a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor. I bought this car in Nebraska about 6 weeks ago. I want to keep it but I just found out that I am moving to New Zealand in 3 months for Grad School. When I first got the car I was having electrical problems (it was on 6 volt), and it wasn't running smoothly. Since then I have converted it to 12 volt, I have added turn signals, checked the points, set the gap, bought an original Zenith Ford Model A carb and had it rebuilt, timed the car, put in a new alternator, new water pump, new bendix on the starter, and it runs perfectly now. Starts everytime. Two owners ago bought a rebuilt engine from another 1930 Ford Model A and put it in. I have the original engine from the car that comes with it but it needs to be rebuilt, and other misc brake parts. The car was painted about a yr ago and looks really good but does have 2-3 rough spots which you will see in the video. One of the fenders is dented, another is bubbling. The front windshield has a crack on the left side of it, and the roof, front seats, and the carpet are not original. If you wanted to go back original I have everything to put it back to a 6 volt (except the battery), and you would need the seats and roof. If you wanted to hot rod it would be a godo candidate, or drive it as is. The video below should answer the rest of your questions, but if you have anymore feel free to call me at 913 219 3399. My name is Alex. This is a NO RESERVE auction because I have to sell it. I hate to see it go! Oh yeah and odometer broke at 88,000 miles. The guy before me said he would guess it has about 100,000 on it. also the gas tank is gauged by a float. The float needs to be replaced because it is empty when the car says 3/4. There is a model A expert in town who said you could replace the float for 10$. The front right headlight is temperamental. It works sometimes, I took it off and soder some of the wires and it was working but then I dropped the bulb and have yet to replace it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GdA3pSlOEk Again if you have any questions call me anytime 913-219-3399. Even if its late go ahead, ill answer if I am awake. buyer arranges for shipping or pick up, money is due within 72 hours of the closing of the auction, and a $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours.
