Vehicle Detail
This is a used 1974 Honda CB550. I bought the bike a few years ago (2006) and have barely ridden it, only about 50 miles. It has been sitting in the garage for about 2 years now, so there are some things that it will need. The carbs need cleaned, the brakes are a little frozen, although it can be moved. The front fork seal appears to need some work, and currently the battery is dead and needs to be replaced, but I am going to try to see what I can do about that if I have time (no promises) The last time it was ridden it ran well, and it has good compression. The top of the tank and the gauges have some sun damage, it spent some time in Florida before I owned it. The bike is in good shape for it's age but there are some little things. Like most motorcycles of this era the seat has a tear, and the muffler has some small holes, but is in fairly good overall condition. The only reason it sat for a while is because it was just too much bike for me when I got it. I want it to go to a good home where it will be loved and ridden. This is available for pick up only. I have listing it nationally, but only bid if you can come and get it. I live in Akron OH. (I do have a ramp if you need to load it on a truck, and I can verify that it will fit, although awkwardly on a short bed.) Please only bid if you are serious. I will want a $200 deposit within 24 hours of completion of the auction. If you pay for the bike in full, then I can have the title ready for you when you arrive, otherwise it will be sent in the mail after payment, or if you want to wait for me to get it notarized. I do these things legally, and I don't want anyone to have trouble getting the title in their name because something wasn't done right. Addition: I have had a couple of questions about holding the bike, and yes, if the bike is paid in full I have no problem holding the bike for a few days or even a few weeks.
