Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1954 Packard Henney Junior Ambulance/Hearse combination. This is one of only about 120 of these that were built in 1954. These bodies were actually part of the left over 1953 bodies. 500 were built in '53 and with only 380 being sold, the balance were sold in '54. This is a very solid car that has been in inside storage for many years. This was originally purchased by the USAF and spent time at Hill Airforce Base in Utah. After it's time there it was transferred to Thiokol in norhtern Utah, this is the company that built the space shuttle engines along with many other things. After that it spent some time in Idaho. From Idaho it came backt to Utah and was put in storage. This vehicle has not run in many years and the current condition of the engine is unknown. It is missing the carburetor, air cleaner and other misc. parts. I have not tried to do anything with the car in the 5 years that I have owned it. The car appears to very solid with no visible rust. There are however several scrapes/dents on the sides, but nothing to serious. All of the glass in in good condition with the exception of the windshield, it has one rock chip in it that could be repaired. There are several tags on the body and I have included pictures of them that you can read. The tires hold air for only a short period of time, but long enough to load. The wheels are not correct and there are not hubcaps. The mileage on the odometer reads 8973. I have no idea if this is original or not, but know it's history I would not be surprised that it was original. This car is available for inspection or I would be glad to answer any and all emials. I would like the car removed with in 2 weeks after the auction ends. Longer storage can be arranged for a fee. Vehicle will need to be paid for in full before it will be relaeased to ship. Thanks for looking and good luck.On Jul-03-11 at 05:26:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I just checked my file and could not find a title for this car. I know I had one but it must have been misplaced somewhere. I will be applying for a new title on Tuesday morning. It will be about 2 weeks before and can get the new owner a title for this car. I am sorry for this problem. There will not be a problem getting a new title though, just a short delay. Thanks for understanding, Sam
