Auto transmission This vehicle is also for sale locally as well If you would like to buy it now please let us know Description 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL This is a very nice car that I would trust to drive across the country today if needed. I have had it for a few months now sitting in my own personal garage and driving it on nice days. I bought it from the second owner a few months ago. The 2nd owner purchased it 10 years ago with 79,000 miles on it, and took great care of it. Overall I would rate the car above average. It drives WAY better, and it is more reliable than any car from 1987 should be. The body is clean and all of the lines are straight. It is not the original paint and I would rate the paint job a 6.5 out of 10. It looks GREAT from afar and even from a few feet away but if you were to pick it apart you would see some small blemishes. It is a little cloudy in a couple spots, and a few other small paint flaws. No dings, dents, or scratches and NO RUST! The floors, trunk, and frame are rust free and in great shape. The motor is strong and quiet without a single noise that is out of the ordinary. It will fire right up everytime I want to drive it without any hesitation. It drives straight down the road and will cruise at 90 MPH with out a problem. IT IS FAST! It is a 5.6L V8 in a tiny light little car. The transmission shifts smoothly too. It steers straight and brakes straight. It does have power steering, and power brakes. The tires have about 75% tread left. The interior is clean. The upholstery is the original upholstery. There is only one rip on the outer boulster of the drivers seat. (pictured) The rest is in fair to good condition. The carpets are all clean without any stains. There is a spot behind the drivers seat that is a little worn out though. I dont know what from. It does have the original mercedes floor mats, and mercedes tool kit. The gauges all work, and work well. There is a fan switch that was installed to turn on the blower motor for the heat and a/c. It does have a/c but it is from 1987 so dont count on it being too cold. Thats what the convertible top is for. The hard top locks right down and is water tight. It is easily removable, and the soft top stores permanently in the car. The soft top is is great shape too, the windows are a little hazed, but can be seen through. I also have the tools for the top and the owners manual. As I said earlier...It has been well cared for, and I trust this car to drive across the country, (and in style) the way it is right now. It can be a daily driver without any work needed. The car is clean and runs Excellent. It is not a show car, but It is also NOT a project, and it is NOT in need of any restoration. Most everything works the way it is supposed to, it runs well, and it is clean. This is a 25 yr old car so please expect a 25 year old car, not a new car! I have been honest with it, and described in DETAIL any flaws it may have. The new owner will really enjoy it, it is a great ride! To be honest, I have no idea what this car is worth. So, I am listing it with a $200 starting bid and No Reserve. You tell me what its worth! I will be able to pickup the winning bidder at Manchester NH International Airport if necessary, as well as provide a 20 Temporary tag for transportation. On Jun-27-11 at 04:47:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I just looked at the AutoCheck and noticed that it states the car was reported a few months ago with 180k miles at auction. I bought it from the 2nd owner and not at the auction. It was run through the auction just to see what it would get. I am not sure if there was a mistake, but The mileage does state 130,xxx and it will be sold as actual mileage on the title as well. It is a 2 owner with no accidents. Thanks for looking
