An ultra clean, perfectly running, stunningly gorgeous, all-original AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 1979 FIAT 2000 SPIDER with 97,000 original and verifiable miles showing off a very rare and unique color combination.*** This has the larger more powerful 2,000 CC (2.0L) engine which happens to be in flawless conditions, not the smaller one... * A TRUE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAR with NO detectable rust anywhere. * Everything about this car screams CLASSY! * You will be hard pressed to find one in this nice of a shape and as good looking....but if you do be prepared to pay an Arm and 2 legs for it or steal of from some museum. * The engine is in PERFECT SHAPE. It smoothly purrs at idle and then gives of a nice seamless growl when you put your foot down. It revs freely with no choking, sputtering or hesitation. The engine has been given a complete tune-up with all spark plugs and wires having just been replaced with new ones and the carburetor has recently been rebuilt to perfection. It also has a new water pump and Brand New Distributor and Distributor Cap (see pic). * Many of the hoses have been replaced as well. (see picture of engine bay). Gas mileage is great both in the city and on the freeway. YES, I drive this beauty everywhere and as often as I can, of course when I don't have to haul the whole family around. I have had several of these Fiats before and never have I gotten as many thumbs ups and winks from passerby's as I have gotten while driving this particular one. This is a daily driver. * The automatic transmission shifts with barely a detectable hint of gear change. What does that mean? I mean it shifts like a modern car with NO transmission issues whatsoever. SMOOOOOOTH and quick. It does not hold on to any gears longer than it should nor does it shift prematurely. But put your foot down and it rewards you with a nice solid kick-down and seamless acceleration. * Believe me when I say that having an AUTOMATIC Transmission in this car is such a relief (especially in notorious Los Angeles traffic jams), not to mention incredibly RARE and hard to find! * The brakes are very strong. It just received new calipers and pads as well as the entire braking system was checked for any flaws. This baby STOPS ON A DIME. * Religious Oil changes and never-ending babying and pampering make this car a dream to own and drive. * It has 4 brand new tires that are good for thousands of miles and under warranty, although one of the tires has a small piece of rubber missing from the tread. (I guess i must have ran over something hard/sharp).The wheels are original FIAT rims in near perfect condition. * Cosmetically this FIAT is gorgeous to look at. It is a 1979 model so there will always be a flaw here or there, but overall this baby is a looker and will get you tons of looks. The paint job on her is clearly a top notch paint job in a deep/dark RED with GOLD flakes that sparkle in the day time and while driving in city lights. In my many years dealing with these cars, I have yet to see one that has this kind of paint job. To replicate, expect to spend between $3,500-$4,500 on the paint work alone! * This Spider has a BRAND NEW TOP that closes with a tight seal. The back window is CRYSTAL CLEAR and is also brand new. (Will also provide a black boot cover). * The front and rear bumpers are BRAND NEW, and the chrome shines as new. ZERO blemishes or rust. * The Dial lenses are crystal clear with no fogging, clouding or deterioration. (see pictures) * All the lights (internal and external) and signals work. High beams are powerful. Even the inside light illuminates when you open the door. * The Heat works perfectly, as does the Defrost feature and internal fan (2-levels) * The wiper blades work perfectly. * Even the cigarette lighter works perfectly. * The Glove compartment lock works perfectly and closes with completely with NO GAPS. The wood trim throughout the entire car doesn't have a scratch on it and is in perfect shape. * The dash has ZERO cracks and has no detectable flaws. * The Horn honks loudly when you press on the center Fiat logo on the all-original Fiat steering wheel. * The doors lock from inside and outside with key with no problems. * The seats move forward and backwards with no issues and recline as they should as well as headrests go up and down with no problems. * It comes with a nice Sony CD player with IPOD/IPHONE connection. * Tons of service records will accompany this car as will several replacement parts. * You will receive 3 separate keys with the car. One for the ignition, one for the doors and trunk and another for the glove box and they ALL WORK FLAWLESSLY. * It is registered and has just passed the smog emissions test with flying colors (so California owners, you should be good to go for the next 2 years before needed to smog again) * The Lucky owner of this Fiat Spider will need nothing but a full tank of gas and wide open road to enjoy this beauty.
