Vehicle Detail

By the numbers-and to the best of my knowledge this rolled of the line in 1939, then sat in the international tractor implement lot in south dakota for 2 years and was titled in 1941. I've been told more than once that ih dealers gave title the year of sale not manufacture back then-- also 1941 was the 1st year of the much more common K series with a far more modern body style. I bought this about four years ago from a man in the NE corner of south dakota passed on to him by his father who only ran it in the local parade once a year - that was enough to keep it running and mantained it seems. When I bought it as a running truck it was delivered to me in sioux falls 1 hour from my house- we started it - backed it off the truck and drove it to a pre-arranged shop, I told them I wanted to drive it the 60 miles to my house and to go through it-- when I picked it up I drove it home. Truck runs great but it is slow- it takes me twice as long to get to town as I am used to- it will be 75 years old soon and I guess there was no gravel much less hard surface roads back then not here any way and it is geared low to boot. I am going to sell this and continue to look for a vintage "driver" pickup. I believe everything works on it and is very solid and rust free except for some bubbling around rear window-- paint is nice but an older paint job- seat redone when painted - dash is complete and working- windows all there all crank including the front (very cool) some of the glass is foggy. It also has a working dump box. This one speaks for its self , but please ask any questions and drive it home if you have lots of time ! Truck has a green diamond 213 6 cyl. (not a V8 as stated at top of listing) a brand new battery and a 2 year old water pump. Thank you John
