Vehicle Detail
Super Customized vintage 1971 CB450 Honda. When I bought this bike I really wanted a Vintage Triumph, BSA Indian, Norton or something from the 1940's 1950's......so I had this Honda twin customized to what I wanted, because it had all the elements, and it was at hand, and I couldn't afford those British bikes. I bought this Motorcycle back in 1999 and put a lot of money and time into it as you can probably see. I rode it around my neighborhood, Drive Inn's and Car Shows etc....you should see all the swiveling heads with question marks above them! (What is it?) A lot of work went into artfully transforming this into a vintage looking bike and the quality of the paint is great. It is very glossy with several coats of clear over everything we had painted. BUT, It is NOT supposed to be a show bike, so we didn't go to great detail on the frame and such. A lot of People ogle this bike when it is parked out on the street.... Over 12 years I have lost interest in this motorcycle; so it really needs to go to a new home. Okay the reality of THIS bike:......... PLEASE READ! FACT: #1 It is still a vintage 1971 CB450...it has NOT been restored mechanically....IT REALLY SHOULDN'T BE RIDDEN RIGHT NOW. It has a Dead Battery (my fault) and old tires. ....But I can probably start it. It really needs to be fixed up mechanically;.. there a lot of little things that need attention; it is not finished. It is a great looking "fixer upper". I have some original parts and a shop manual that goes with it. This motorcycle needs someone who can tinker on bikes or can learn. I would say This is not a beginner motorcycle. FACT #2. I don't have a Title. You will have to create a title or something. I have lost interest. It's not stolen, the person I bought it from in 1999 promised me the title. He disappeared after a divorce and that was that. I have a bill of sale from him. (I have a title and a serial number that 'may be' able to be welded on from a 1975 cb360....but that may be against the law; a person would have to check) YOU ARE FREE TO COME SEE THIS MOTORCYCLE IN SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI!..I ENCOURAGE IT! Contact me for phone and address. Please ask questions! Please ask questions! I will be gone July 3 to July 15 so be aware if you plan to pick it up; but something can be arranged Please ask questions before bidding... not after you bought it. Please communicate and pay promptly. I mean really, don't leave a dude hanging. Buyer will have to arrange any & all shipping efforts & costs. NOTE:The large outdoor pictures 'horn' does not go with it; the smaller horn does. NOTE: if you don't have any feedback or negative feedback....please don't bid, contact me first. Note: Once again i will personally be gone July 4th-15th. But I 'may' make arrangements if you need to pick it up during that time.
