Vehicle Detail
1974 Chevrolet Malibu Classic 2 DR Coupe. Bronze w/Black Vinyl top. I've won many car shows with this car. These models are very rare in this solid condition. The car was owned by an older lady and her son. It may have been titled by each of them. I've owned it since 1994. As I mentioned the car has been in shows, the body is in fantastic shape. Keep in mind, the car is nearly 40 years old. There are some minor blemishes on some of the trim here and there but nothing that ever made me consider replacing them. There may be some signs of aging, but nothing rusted out or through. The original owners as well as myself have always kept it in the garage. It has never driven in snow or salt. In the years I've owned it, I've only added about 1,400 miles. Never smoked in. Drive it home and put in a show!!! The car is basically stock. It had a 2bbl carb when I bought it. I changed it to a Rochester 4bbl with GM manifold. I swapped out the points for an HEI distributor. I added dual exhaust and headers. The A/C compressor ceased up so I replaced it with R134 compressor. When I detailed the engine, I replaced A/C compressor & Evap, Water Pump,Fuel Pump, Alternator, Belts, Theromostats and more. I have many of the original parts that came off the car such as original rims/tires, hub caps, Engine cross supports. I swapped out the AM radio for the correct GM AM/FM radio. I have parts that I intended to replace in the future too, weather strips etc. They all go with it. I hate to get rid of this car. It just came time to down size and get rid of my pride and joy! The clock inside was replaced with NOS and it works. Stereo works, original floor mats, the top of the dash is not cracked from sun damage. The only thing really worth mentioning is a small crack in the lower corner of the dash. The original owner hit his left knee and cracked some of the material off. (about 1" in size) The seatbelts still have the clear plastic warning clips on them. I had a guy offer me a few hundred dollars just for the clips. These are Extremely rare! The rims are American Racing 200S with GoodYear Eagle Gt's. Many of these cars are missing Quarter window trim, this still has it. I have most if not all of the original literature and manuals. Feel free to contact me with questions if I've missed something, or if you live close and want to view before bidding. A non refundable deposit of $500 due within 48 hours of end of auction. via Pay Pal. Remainder of balance must be by way of Cash or Cashiers Check. No Paypal for balance. I want the new owner to love this car as I do. I'll do everything reasonable to help you in transporting it if sold far away.
