1959 Porsche 356A Reutter Cabriolet for restoration. Rare original Black A1 with Red leather color combination, per the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity COA (Porsche North America emailed me the attached "draft" of the COA, the original COA will arrive by mail next week). California title and blue California license plates. This car has been in storage awaiting restoration for well over 20 years. I purchased it several months ago from a gentleman in Piedmont, CA, who spent the past several decades accumulating parts for it: The soft was purchased new and installed, and it is unused; a metal hard top is also included: it is missing its windows, no seals, and it will need to be fitted to the car. Much of the chrome work has also been done. The engine was not run for decades: it turned freely, so we hooked up an axilliary fuel supply and it started it; it runs on all cylinders and does not smoke, but it is not fresh and it may need to be rebuilt. Most all of the components are here, and this Porsche 356A Cabriolet is an excellent basis for a complete restoration. Please do not expect a running driving car; it has not been driven anywhere in many decades. There are rust issues in the doors and some areas in the undercarriage. Thanks for looking!
