This GTO was purchased from the original owner who purchased her when he returned from Vietnam in 1969. I have a folder with records for the improvements he has made over the years. This car is a good quality driver car. Paint is very shiny and looks great. The paint has been on the car since 1997, so what you see is what you get, no surprises which is a good thing. He had the springs replaced front and rear as well as KYB shocks installed in 2007. The motor was rebuilt and balanced less than 10K ago. I have put some modern improvements on the vehicle, but I have all of the stock parts that came from the factory. The vehicle had the original 14 inch rally wheels, with relatively new tires. Those are in storage. There are now 18 inch Boss wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport tires with plenty of tread left. The car handles great and sounds incredible with the newer Pypes exhaust from front to rear with correct chrome tips. The brakes are in exvellent shape with front discs and rear drums. The entire floorboard of the car as well as the rear wheel wells have been lined with FatMat Rattle trap liner. This is equally as good or better than the Dynomat product but less expensive. The car has brand new Sparco front seats with 3 inch wide belts, 5 point racing harnesses with the cam lock/release. I still have the original front seats and they are in great shape. There is an aftermarket steering wheel, but again I have the original. The headliner could be restretched as the previous owner installed it, and it doesnt look as tight as it should be. The motor was rebuilt in 1991 and balanced at that time. The motor has less than 10K on it, as the car was mostly parked inside under cover. The motor is the pontiac 400 with 350 horsepower. That is very conservative as you will see when you drive the car. There is an Edelbrock intake manifold and carb along with a K&N air filter with the chrome Edelbrock air cleaner assembly. The car is a 4 speed and the rearend has 411 gears. There is a brand new Flame Thrower HEI distributor that I replaced the points one with, and I have the old distributor as well. The plug wires are new and are the 8.5 mm Accel. This made a big improvement in an already great running vehicle. The body is in great shape and the paint is a beautiful red. There is no rust on the car with the exception of a little bubble on the upper drivers side rear drip rail. THIS IS IT FOR RUST!!! The trunk and interior floors are rust free, and I mean not even any surface rust! I have photos to show this prior to the installation of the FatMat. All of the glass is in good shape, all windows roll up and down properly. All of the electrics work even the clock and it keeps correct time! This is a great driver GTO, and could use a rear bumper as it is not as shiny as it should be. The endura nose could use a repaint as it has a few cracks, and I have the paint codes as well as a small can of touch up paint. This car is only going to go up in value and the only reason it is being sold is we have a sick and injured family member, and medical expenses are getting difficult to swing. I will assist with the shipping of the car out of the United States if needed. Do not waste my time with scam offers.
