I am the third owner of this classic bike. The odometer has not functioned, from what I have been told, since the original owner. The story goes that one day the owner attempted to dial the trip meter back to 0000, and when the dial was turned, the odometer turned also, and has since not worked. I have no way to verify this information, or the correct miles of the bike. However, the bike idles and runs very well. I have taken the bike on trips as far as a hundred miles or so without problem. The tires have plenty of tread available, but some minor sidewall cracking is beginning to develop. I have owned this bike for about 2 1/2 years. The only items I have replaced are the battery, oil pump seal, and neutral indicator switch. This is a great classic bike that rides well on the road and looks beautiful.I am selling reluctantly and only out of a need to "make ends meet". Feel free to contact with questions.
