1974 Alfa Romeo GTV. I have owned this car for 15 years with known history back to the early ‘80’s. This car is completely stock unmodified car. Originally delivered in black, an unusual color, this car was repainted 2 years ago to a very high standard. The black color accentuates the stainless trim and yellow fog lights giving this car a stunning presence. The interior is tan upholstery - headliner all in perfect condition. The door cards have a small tear and slight warpage but are presentable overalMechanically, the car starts, runs and drives superbly. This car was originally maintained by a renowned Alfa mechanic for most of its life and has been bulletproof reliable in all of my years of ownership. It is a 2.0 litre SPICA fuel injection car that starts on the first revolution and runs perfectly in any weather. The transmission is perfect with no synchro issues cold or warm, the motor idles smoothly and pulls to redline like a bear. The cluch master and slave cylinder were replaced in 2010.The car does use a small amount of oil and produces a little smoke on hard acceleration , but the consumption has not varied in 15 years so I have left alone. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The chassis is completely stock still carrying its original 1974 elevated ride height ( to comply with US bumper regulations) , as the car was original I chose not to lower it to improve the handling. It wears its orginal “turbina” factory alloys, refinished at the time of the body repaint. The brakes are perfect and stop the car with more authority than my 2010 Toyota. The Brake master was replaced in 2010 due to a small leak. All of the electrics work with the exception of the rear defroster. This is a beautiful running and driving car that represents the final evolution of the wonderful and historic Alfa Romeo Giula series.
