Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special with the Ranger option. I am the second owner of this vehicle, the original owner passed away and his truck went up for sale at a local dealership in Texas from where I purchased it, the truck was originally purchased from the Ford Dealership in Oklahoma. The dealer had the engine rebuilt and it runs faultlessly and is leak free, the transmission is perfect and shifts like it did when it came from the Michigan plant in 1969! I have driven this vehicle for 3 years and clocked up nearly 35,000 trouble free miles. I have also taken this truck on a road trip to Niagra Falls from Texas without any problems. When I bought this truck, I bought a AAA membership, as I was skeptical of an older vehicle's reliability. Since I have owned the truck, it has always had synthetic Mobil 1 15w 50 oil and has been changed regularly, along with spark plug changes, points and condenser. The rear axle and transmission has been flushed and new oil added. I used the AAA breakdown service twice in 3 years..... not for my truck, but for my 97 Chevy Lumina!! The truck has only drank 93 gas and has always had Lucas fuel additive at every fill up. This 360 FE motor pulls like a 390! and is strong and smoke free. All tires are good and have only done 7000 miles or so. Brakes are very sharp as I had all cylinders and shoes changed. I upgraded the brake lines also with Goodridge hoses when all the brake work was done. The original exhaust system has been replaced, I still have the original headers. Also, I still have the original air cleaner and housing. The auxillary tank has been removed as it was dirty inside, I will include all of these parts in the sale. I have the AC system also, however this did not hold freon and was removed for repair, I have the oem working parts that will come with the truck, hose condenser compressor etc. The body and frame are sound and rust free as expected from a Texas/Oklahoma truck. This truck has been used and the body is not perfect however, no paint other than what Ford intended has touched this truck. Its bondo free and an original un-restored survivor with no hidden horrors! All glass is good on the truck, the electrics all work and every dash light illuminates. I am confident that the winning bidder will love this truck as I have done. My wife and I no longer remodel houses and no longer need the truck. We will drive this truck for delivery just about anywhere in the U.S. Please contact us for arrangements prior to bidding. You would be required to pay for our basic gas, hotel and return car rental if we deliver it. My number is 214 707 5586 / 214 929 7576 for any other questions or more photos. Thank for looking!
