This is a summer 1968 built Mercedes Benz 280sl for sale vin# 11304410003679. It is a 4 speed 6 cylinder fuel injected model with just 53,000 original miles on it. It runs perfect and is as solid as any you will find. The 280 model seems to be the most desirable because of the larger motor size and newest upgrades in the Pagoda family. This 280sl was total restored in 2008 therefore car is just like new out of the factory. Under the new floor mats the black undercoating shows off that this car is a true “survivor”. Those of you that like to use their cars will love it . Every thing on this car is original, the engine runs like new and can be used as a daily car to work and back. the soft top was also replaced in 2008 and i have all the paper work to show.Under the trunk mat you will find a clean finish and again, no rust. New Michelin tires with the correct to age white wall. The top is perfect and the hardtop clips on tight and comes with the storage carrier. I have changed the sealed beam headlights for Bosch H4’s just to see better. AS you can see the hard top has it’s own storage carrier on wheels. There are accessory floor mats to go over the new carpet and they have a custom Mercedes Benz logo embroidered in them. The wind deflector behind the rear seats is a hard to locate option that makes driving with the top down almost windless. It cost almost $1000.00 This car is in great shape and the only disappointment is if you don’t buy it. You can fly in and drive home cross country. It is a low revving car compared to an automatic I once had and easy to drive. Manuals and tool kit are included. I have had this car for the last 7 years and has brought it to a show car. I am selling it due to my cash flow problems otherwise will have kept it in the family. Email me with any questions. I don’t know what else to add.
