Vehicle Detail
People definitely notice this car, because it is the classic W123 body style that is instantly recognized as a classic Mercedes. She runs good too, providing reliable transportation and starts up even on the coldest mornings here in Lake Tahoe, California. This vehicle has been fitted with new fuel lines and runs well on biodiesel and features an oversize Bosch injection system that is standard for the 1984 model and is favored by biodiesel enthusiasts. The tie rods and steering box were replaced to improve handling. Although the engine has 213,000 miles, it runs smooth and cruises easily at 75 mph. Several mechanics have remarked that this engine seems smoother and more powerful than most. The tires are in excellent condition and have sipes for better traction on ice. Tire chains are also included. Also included is a Garmin GPS system. Although this vehicle has provided reliable transportation, it is not without problems. The paint is faded, the A/C doesn't work, the clock and odometer just died. The spring is broken on the hood and the front passenger door handle is loose. There is a tear in the headliner, about three inches long. Also, the horn does not work. I purchased this classic Mercedes, so I could create my dream biodiesel vehicle. I've spent several thousand dollars to restore it mechanically. The only reason I'm parting with this beauty is because I've moved to Tahoe and I really need to get a 4x4 instead. Deposit of US $1,000.00 within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close. Shipping: Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.
