Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Here is what you really need to know: 1. The bike is or at least was in good mechanical condition so far as I know. Again, it will probably need a boost from sitting. I don’t know if there’s much gas in the tank. There are a bunch of oil/gas type plastic bottles standing around in the garage but I’m not sure what’s in them. There’s a full-face helmet you can have for nothing if you want it, but I don’t think it’s an expensive one. 2. Somebody asked if there was a dent in the gas tank. I checked and couldn’t find any dents anywhere on the tank or rest of the body, but there’s a scrape on one muffler. I remember him coming home one time saying he’d dumped it on a gravelly corner when the tires were still cold. As I recall this was an early spring day when everything was cold, not just the tires. There is also a scrape on that same side (the one you see in the picture) on that round thing where it says “Honda”. Other than that, coupla tiny paint chips here and there, nothing major. The side you can’t see looks better than this one. 3. There is a piece of duct tape across the front of the seat, you can see a bit of it in the photo. Also, a small (about 1 1/2in) rip on the edge at the back. I think one mirror is missing. Maybe it’s laying around in there someplace, haven’t checked amongst the mess. There’s some rust on the part of the exhaust where it gets skinny and goes into the motor. Looks-wise, for the age I’d give this a 7 or 8 but what do I know. 4. The tires on the other hand don’t look great to me, especially the rear one, but you be the judge. 5. Either Canadian or US money is fine. I didn’t really anticipate having anything but local buyers for this to begin with, but if you’re coming up across the border and plan to take it back, whatever additional paperwork that may involve you’ll have to handle yourself. All I’ll be providing is the filled-out transfer of ownership slip and a hand written bill of sale, I think that’s the minimum requirement for the D.O.T. or whatever they call it now, but please correct me if I’m wrong. 6. I’m located near the very eastern edge of Toronto, and less than 5 minutes from Hwy 401. Thanks. On 12-Jun-11 at 17:21:26 EDT, seller added the following information: Good grief. Thought I had the subject pretty much covered but... For the information of all and sundry, that other "wheel" you see turned sideways at the back is not part of the "trike", but part of a pile of car tires also being stored in the garage at an, as it happens, unfortunate proximity to the main event. Sorry about that. On 12-Jun-11 at 23:02:10 EDT, seller added the following information: Sorry: ONE MORE THING! I know I said "local pick-up only" in the description but for some reason it says "Ships Worldwide" on the sidebar and if you click on the shipping details it looks as though I will ship this thing. I don't know how to fix that, but, AGAIN, THIS IS NOT TRUE. I really need this sale and don't want some joker putting on a huge winning bid just for laughs and then backing out because I misrepresented this detail. Thanks. THIS IS A "CASH AND CARRY ONLY" ITEM. On 13-Jun-11 at 01:45:13 EDT, seller added the following information: ABSOLUTELY FINAL NOTICE! ANYONE WITH READING AND/OR COGNITIVE SKILLS ON A PAR WITH THOSE OF THE AUTHORS OF THE LAST FIVE EMAILS I JUST RECEIVED IS NOT ALLOWED TO BID ON THIS ITEM!
