1971 Alfa Romero GT Veloce I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: This Alfa belonged to one of my neighbors who parked it for many years. We received the Alfa and wanted to be sure that the engine and transmission was good so we sent it out to a mechanic. The mechanic did the following: · cleaned the fuel tank · added fresh gas · changed the oil and filter · replaced the fuel hoses · replaced the water pump and added coolant · put a new battery · And the old girl came to life! The mechanic motioned that the Alfa has a very healthy engine and transmission. (We were told that someone must have done some work on it to be that good after many years.) Please remember that we just had him start the car. The car drives and the transmission works well, but the car still needs restoration to bring it back to its original glory. The car has some rust (on the floor pan). The car comes with many, many extra parts per pictures. Even though the car has a clear Texas title, on the title there is a remark that says “Rebuilt Salvage- Loss Unknown” and we don’t know the reason for that remark. I am a perfectionist and would like someone whom knows these beautiful cars to bring it back to its glory, so we posted the car with no reserve. Please refer to the pictures for a better understanding of this beautiful Alfa, and if you have any questions or need more pictures please let me know. The car has an antique license plate. The car comes with a workshop manual on C.D. that goes with the car. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the car if you are bidding. Remember that this classic car is 40 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. I’m into antiquities and I don’t know that much about trucks in detail. Please come and check it as I am expressing how I see the vehicle. Your bid is your contract. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
