Vehicle Detail
Hi, I'm offering up for auction a great 1978 Honda CT70 Mini-Trail for sale. It only has 878 original miles. It starts, runs, and rides good.. I have owned the bike a little over 2 years.Since owning, I have been working on getting the bike in a very nice condition. There has been a lot of updates/ new parts I have installed since owning. Here's to name a few. 1) New tires on both front & Rear- 4 months ago. Less then 50 miles on them. 2) New Brakes on both Front & Rear- Again, 4 months ago. It really did not need them , but thought it would be best to do when putting new tires on. 3) New Gas Tank- 1 1/2 years ago.( Zero rust, so no worries about that like on alot of these older bikes) 4) New seat cover- 6 months ago. 5) New Battery- Just this spring. 6) New Front & Rear chrome fenders 7)New handlebar grips 8) I took the bike completely apart and had the inside frame Zebared/Undercoated, so It will never rust. This is just a few things I done to it.The previous owner done quite a few thing to it also. Again, the bike runs well. No oil burning. Clutch is strong and good. Shifts great. No major issues mechanically. The bike in my opinion is on a scale from 1 to 10, a 9 to 9 1/2 mechanically. Only reason I give it that, instead of a 10 is because the turn signals don't work correctly. They light up, but don't flash. I'm pretty sure it's the flasher. Which I have one coming that I bought on Ebay. Also the headlight quit working about a year ago. I'm sure it's only the bulb. I just never worried about it because I only rode in the daytime. Cosmedically, the bike is pretty good, considering the age. Very, very little rust anywhere. Mainly on cables and a little on the exhaust where it bolts to the head of the engine. Is the bike in showroom condition? No.Not by any means, but I say it's well above average. See pics. I've really enjoyed the bike since owning. It's fun to ride and have not had a bit of trouble out of it. I also have really enjoyed fixing it up more and more to get it to like new condition, but I just do not have the time to ride anymore, due to work and my business. For that reason, that why I'm offering it for sale. I do want to clearify that I'm trying to describe the total condition of the bike, the best and honest as I can. If you notice, I do have a very good feedback rating. The only reason I bring this up is because I know that everyones opinion varies. For that reason, and that reason only, I welcome and encourage anyone, to come and see the bike in person, if possible, before bidding.. I truely do not think you will be disappointed. But because of the nature that the winning bidder might live several hundered miles away, and the cost of shipping can be quite a bit, I'm offering the bike, as is, with no return.. I also want to note that I can assist the winning bidder with any shipping, if needed, but the buyer is totally responsible in arranging and paying all shipping cost. I will consider delivering myself , if within 200 mile from Cincinnati, Oh. for $1/mile. I do have the bike for sale locally, so I do have the right to cancel the auction early. All bidders must have at least a feedback rating of 5 or more or the bid will be rejected. A $300 deposit is due within 12 hrs. after the auction ends thru Paypal only. The remainning balance is due within 72 hours. I only accept Paypal, Money orders, or Cashiers Checks. But please remember, Money Orders and Cashier Check will have to clear before the bike is released. Like most of these bikes, there is no title, but I will give a Bill of Sales. Also I have info, if desired, as to where the winning bidder can obtain a legal, clear title for one of these bikes. Very easy to do, but additional cost is involved. Thank you for looking. If you have any questions, what so ever, please feel free to contact me. Thank You!!!
