1979 Triple White Volkswagen Super Beetle Karmann Convertible This is Triple White Edition with White exterior paint, White convertible top, and White interior. Most desired combination. Runs great, like new. Starts with just a touch of the ignition key, every single time no matter is it cold or hot, day or night, summer or winter. It runs great, looks great and it's a real head turner. People always smile and compliment my car and I'm always getting thumbs up. This is one of the VERY LAST MADE VW Beetle Convertibles. There is a door sticker, with the Production date 12/1979 ( December 1979 ). Made in Germany. History This is an original California car. In February 2007, I’ve bough it from the original owner and I’ve decided to restore it. All mechanical, electrical and bodywork has been done by professionals, diamond certified shops, and not by some backyard and weekend mechanics. This Triple White 1979 VW Super Beetle Karmann Convertible was meticulously maintained, both cosmetically and mechanically. It is in an excellent running and body condition, never had an accident and there is no flaws on it or any other mechanical, electrical or any other problems. There is no lien against the vehicle, no salvage or flood history. It has a clear California title. Passed rigorous Santa Clara, California Smog Emission test with the flying colors so that tells you how good the engine is. Registration is valid till 08/08/2011. VIN 1592042857, Engine number AJ008404. Odometer reads 43303 miles. No one has ever smoked in this car. The vehicle is located in Santa Clara, California and you are always welcome to come here and to drive and inspect. Body and Paint There is absolutely no rust on this car anywhere. I’ve paid a diamond certified body shop to completely restore it. Body, all rubber, glass and trim pieces were taken off. Exterior was professionally painted using original Volkswagen color Alpine White L90E. Then the body was carefully assembled back and all original trim pieces were added back including new fender beading, new front window seal with new aluminum molding (not a cheap plastic molding), brand new high quality Haartz pinpoint vinyl top, new Top Padding and new Headliner, new convertible top rear and side tension cables, new hardwood bow above rear window. At the same time rear left and right floor pans are also replaced and floor is like a like a rock, no rust or holes! New never rot synthetic frame insert for rear window and new rear window seal. New side windows to top seals, new top to windshield frame seal, new top to windshield frame seals, new quarter window uprights seals. Original windshield was scuffed-up, had some wipers scratches and I’ve replaced it with the brand new original windshield. Here, you can see the bumper guards, mounted on the front and rear bumper. They were optional equipment. You can take them off if you don't like them. Beetle will come with the original stock taillights mounted on. I will also include after market smoked taillights. New high quality Haartz pinpoint vinyl top, new Top Padding and new Headliner, new convertible top rear and side tension cables, new hardwood bow above rear window. New never-rot-synthetic frame insert for rear window and new rear window seal. New side windows to top seals, new top to windshield frame seal, new top to windshield frame seals, new quarter window uprights seals. Each Door has After Market Door Chrome Accent-Accessory. Easy to take off if you don't like it. Doors are straight and close nice and easy. New front door panels and rear quarter panels with New Sony 6 ½" 2-way (16,5 cm) front speakers, 190W peak power each. Installed new dash topper-cover. Now dash looks great, like new. Stock and original sun visors. Everything works perfect, even the dome light and original optional clock. Original Steering wheel, with Wolfsburg crest, is well preserved and it still has nice leather and grip. New floor insulation kit and nice new black full carpet set, new rear well carpet kit. All inside window scrapers are new. New 45W x 4 Sony AM/FM/CD/MP3 player with detachable plate, front aux and remote. New Sony 6 ½" 2-way (16,5 cm) front speakers 190W peak power each and 6x9"(15,25 x 22,85 cm) 3-way Rear speakers 300W peak power each. Lights, turn signals, horn, gauges, switches, wipers, rear defroster and everything else in perfect working condition. New front and rear leatherette seat and headrest covers. Original Engine 1584 EFI Fuel Injected runs strong and smooth. Engine number AJ008404. Oil changed regularly every 3000 miles and only high quality unleaded 91-octane gas was always used. Recent tune up with valve adjustment, new air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wire set, rotor, distributor cap, points, condenser, alternator belt and new battery. Tune up was performed every 12,000 miles. Transmission is excellent. Shifts smooth and quiet and doesn’t pop out of the gear. Nice clean front well, no rust. Nice black carpet. Nice clean front well, no rust. There is still original spare tire! Very Small blemish-imperfection, just below the front hood seal, shown with the front hood open. With the hood closed, it's almost impossible to see it. I've used Macro lens to show this very small blemish-imperfection just below the front hood seal. It's visible from about 5 inches (or from about 10 cm) and you must really to know it is there to see it! Not noticeable from distances over 2-3ft (about 1m). I've placed a penny next to it, so that you can judge the size of it. Also, I've drawn a red arrow ,on this picture, that points to it. Very Same small blemish-imperfection, like the one above, just below the front hood seal, now just shown with the front hood closed. As you can see with the hood closed, you can't see it. I've used close-up shot, Macro lens to show this very small, tiny blemish-imperfection on the driver side door. Diameter is about 1/16" or 2mm. Impossible to see, from distances over 1ft (about 30 cm). I've placed a penny next to it, so that you can judge the size by your self. Also, I've drawn a red arrow ,on this picture, that points to it. Front-End was completely rebuilt with new tie rod ends, ball joints, all new urethane bushing. Wheel alignment was done as well. New premium front struts-inserts and rear shocks. All break (wheel) cylinders are brand new. The breaks work great and it stops on the dime. New floor pans, left and right side. Clean and No rust. Like a Rock! Nice, very rare and hard to find Enkei wheels, with Gold mesh and polished lip. 15 X 5 1/2 with 195/60/15 tires You will get two sets of wheels. First set, now on the Beetle, are Enkei wheels 15 X 5 1/2 with 195/60/15 tires. Second set is stock, original VW Lemmertz Sport GT wheels, originally came with the car. Tires are fine, but they are not new.
