Thank you for your consideration of this 1986 Jaguar XJ6. Before reading further feel free to check my perfect 12 year E-Bay history and feedback. I have owned this car since 1996 as well as many other Jags. I am the owner of a restoration and repair shop hear in Las Vegas and have done all the work on this car myself except the paint. The car is originally from Southern Ca. and has lived only in CA. and Vegas. Hence there is no rust whatsoever. I have several detailed files documenting all the work done since the car was new. I will list some work here but please feel free to e-mail me with specific questions as I check my e-mail frequently. In 1997 the car was stripped to bare metal with all glass, chrome, rubber, and trim removed and painted British Racing Green by one of the best painters in San Diego. The job took 6 weeks. This car has always been garaged and usually covered. In 2009 the entire interior was replaced with genuine OEM Jaguar Conelly leather. All seat foams, frames, armrests, head rests, etc. are all new. The headliner was replaced as well. The carpet is original and in great condition. The wheels are BBS lightweight aluminum 16X7 with Fulda 225 55ZR16 tires. The chrome trim is all original and looks new. New power steering rack, hoses, and tie rod ends. New shocks all around. New rear springs. I cut 1/2 a coil from the front springs to lower the front 1 inch. New AC compressor, hoses, expansion valve, dryer, and freeze12. AC is cold. New ignition components. New high efficiency radiator, fan clutch, high flow steel fan, and hoses. The car NEVER runs hot. I also have a new water pump and other spares I'll throw in the boot. New Mass airflow sensor. New fuel injectors and lines. K+N air filter. Optima battery with Battery Tender trickle charger. New high torque starter. Nardi steering wheel and matching burlwood shifter. New front pads and rotors. Recent master cylindar. Poly swaybar bushings. Completely rebuilt cylindar head at 150k with all OEM Jag springs, valves, retainers, seals, gaskets, etc. I also did new timing chains, tensioners, upgraded front main seal, etc. All EFI sensors replaced. O2 sensor replaced. Heater valve. All belts and hoses, filters, fluids, etc. New type F ATF every year. Both gas tanks have been removed, cleaned, and lined with Eastwood Sealer. New window and sunroof switches. New fuel pump, filter, and fuel tank change over valve. Alpine stereo with remote. The bottom end of the engine and transmission are original. The car runs strong and shifts perfect. It does smoke a bit from the rings being original. I have also removed two of the four resonators in the exhaust. It sounds terrific. Front windshield is original and has a stone chip or two. Cruise control does not work . It needs another cruise bellows. It's rubber and is placed too close to the exhaust so it cracks. I replaced it once years ago. Climate control works perfect. I'm sure there is much more but 15 years is a long time. It's all in the files anyway. As you can see I've spared no expense. I realize I have much more in this car than I will ever get out of it. It has however provided me with years of reliable enjoyable ownership. The street presence of this car is far better than the pictures can covey. Excellent examples like this one are getting rare indeed.
