1988 BMW R100RS, $4500. This is the motorcycle that invented the 'sport touring class', and the first motorcycle to come from the factor with an integrated fairing. This 1988 model is the first year of the rebirth of the air-cooled twin, after a several year hiatus by BMW. This particular example has been re-worked by San Jose BMW with dual-plugs to run on todays gas with out knocking and for faster warm-ups, and with a lightened flywheel and polished heads. It is in excellent shape, and comes with full documentation of maintenance including ownership history. Extras include PIAA aux lights, Corbin seat with backrest, hyper-light break lights, heated hand grips. Mileage is 72k, which is average for a bike of this vintage. Runs great and will carry you and a partner in comfort all day. Prefer a 'local' sale in which you can come and look the bike over yourself and ride it away after purchase!
