Vehicle Detail
Condition- This is an original truck except the wheels. I do have two of the original "safety wheels" included, but not installed. This is driver. It is insured and tagged. I drove it to a cruse in last week, I got lots of looks but it's no trailer queen. It has new paint. The color is an original option color but not enamel of 1950. The interior is nice the dash has fresh paint and all the gauges work and light up as they should. It has a new rubber mat and new rubber for the pedals. The door panels and head liner did not turn out well. The head liner did not fit correctly and the door panels warped. The floor in the bed has not been finished. It needs a bed kit. Not extremely expensive or hard to do but I don't have time to mess with it. It also needs a tail gait and wiper motor. I could not bring myself to install a electric motor because it's not original and I couldn't put a original vacuum motor in because they just don't work very well. So you can figure out how original it should be. Features- In 1950 the options were limited. It does have the heater, and fram oil filter. In 1950 trucks were equipt with one single tail light on the drivers side. no signal lights. (I do have one but not period correct and not installed) The truck has the original 216 cubic inch Babbitt rod, low pressure engine. Runs great, the generator makes more noise than it should but it is 64 years old. It is the original 6 volt system. The truck is a 3\4 ton so it is geared low. Combine that with a low pressure engine and she's not winning any races. I never drove past 45 mph. History- I bought this truck with in intention of gutting it and making a hot rod. BUT it was all there, original and ran. I fixed the breaks, gave it a tune up, painted it and it came to be a great truck. I've really enjoyed the history that this truck holds unlike the hot-rodded ones. I've owned this truck for several years and she's a solid truck. starts every time, is dependable to be slow and true. Payment- A paypal deposit of $500.00 is due at auction end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days. Paypal or cash only. Reserve is set at a low $4,500 us dollars. This is way below value for this truck. If you would like to see it in person please e-mail me through e-bay.Shipping- The buyer is responsible for all shipping and shipping related arrangements.
