Vehicle Detail
For auction is this 1975 Honda CB500T. It is titled. Frame number CB500T-1026826 - Engine number CB500TE-1026853. The bike has a manufactures date of 2/75. The bike starts, runs and rides. It goes through all the gears fine. It does smoke when it is first started, but seemed to clear out as it was riden. The speedo shows 28,417 miles. There is no master cylinder on the front brake. The rear brake works fine. The inside of the gas tank is nice and clean. There are a couple of dents on the left side. We ran a magnet over the tank and found what we think is putty where the badge holes should be. The high/low switch on the left switch cluster is not working - a switch has been placed in the top of the headlight shell. The headlight works on 1 beam only. The taillight works, but the brake light is not working. The blinkers work. The electric starter is not working. The bike will need a new battery installed. The bike has a center stand and side stand, but the side stand has been bent. Both of the tires are in fair condition - the front is a Cheng Shin - the rear is a Dunlop. Both of the rims are rusting. The seat cover originally was brown and has been dyed black - it is torn on the top and around the bottom edges. The fenders look to be in good condition, but the chrome is rusting. The exhaust is complete and intact, but has rust and some small dents in the mufflers. Sold as-is. Buyer is responsible for the cost and arranging of delivery. Either pick the bike up yourself, or arrange to have it hauled. Daily Direct or Uship can help with your arrangements. Please make your shipping arrangements before the end of the auction as I will store the bike no longer than 2 weeks. I will accept Paypal, money orders or cash, if picking up in person. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required through Paypal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Payment in full must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction. Thanks for the interest!! I had this bike listed a couple of weeks ago and it did not meet my reserve. I have taken the reserve off the auction.
