1959 AUSTIN HEALEY BUGEYE SPRITE What a wonderful and fun car this is. You won't find another car with a higher fun-per-dollar ratio. I've had my Bugeye for 10 years and it has been a pleasure year in year out. I would keep it forever but the family is growing and we need the space in the garage for a regular car:( Though its not a "show quality" car, it looks fantastic, turns heads, starts conversations and -most important- Runs Great. I will miss this car greatly, so please only bid if you will provide a loving home for my dear little bugeye sprite:)Condition: Very fun car to drive. Runs perfectly, very quick with the larger recently-rebuilt 1275cc engine. Brand New Clutch and Only 58k original miles. Nice chrome, Cool light-green paint condition is good- not great, (couple chips). Very Clean body - No Dents and No Rust. Chassis is rock solid but you can find some very minor rust spots underneath. Floor mats curl up a bit and there are two missing snaps on the body for the hood (doesn’t stop the hood from attaching securely). The heater motor rattles. Not a show car but could be with a little love.Features: Excellent 1275cc Engine (rebuilt and repainted in 2004), Classic Minator aluminum wheels, Stainless Steel Exhaust, Brand New Clutch-2010, Newer-very clean Hood (2001), original bolt-on windows. New comfy foam in the seats. I have the front bumper if you would like to add it on. I also have the original wheels if you would like them. It also has a full sized spare. Newer gearbox (2000). History: I bought the car in 2001 from someone here in the Chicago area who took good care of it. They bought it from someone in Colorado. I had the major upgrades done professionally in 2004- Engine rebuild, aluminum wheels, new tires, stainless steel exhaust. 2010 had the clutch replaced professionally as well.Shipping and Payment:Deposit through Paypal is required within 48 hours of winning the auction, cashiers check or cash for remainder.
