I love this blue monster and wish I had the money and time to fix it up. I usually just take it down to the fishing pond or out to the hunt... so surprise, surprise, when I got her out on the road and the transmission kick-down cable broke. I have the kick-down cable fixed, but the repair man says that the transmission needs further work or to be replaced. Right now the truck will only go into reverse, neutral, first, and second. This is fine for me going back and forth to the pond, but it gave my wife the ammo necessary to make me get rid of it. Since I'm going to graduate school soon, I'm inclined to oblige her. Other Issues: The AC needs to be recharged, but I'm not sure about the exact problem since I never needed AC. The stereo needs a new case. (I've bought but not installed this.) The gas gauge doesn't always display the correct fuel level, yet again I was never worried about this since I was never more than a few miles from the house. Bottom Line: This is a solid truck. The body only has a few very minor rust spots, the interior is what you would expect from a hunting/work truck. The body and engine alone is worth what I'm asking on the buy-it-now price.
