1976 Corvette L82 This is one of 5720 Corvettes produced in 76 with the L82 option. This option included a special engine with 9 to 1 compression, bigger valves and aluminum rockers. Also the turbo 400 was used with this performance option package. This car has had over $2000 dollars worth of new interior parts installed. They include leather seat covers,new seat foams, new seat backs, carpet front and rear, sound deadener, console front and rear, map pocket, a pillars, front windshield mouldings, door panels and sill plates. However the piece that runs between the t tops and the t top pads are missing. Also the car needs new door pulls and knobs. Also installed is a new power window motor for the passenger side. The engine is the original CKC. The trans and read end look to be original also. But I have no way to know for a fact. The engine runs well with new spark plugs,wires,fuel pump and oil change. Engine still has aluminum valve covers and a dual snorkle air cleaner. Air conditioning needs charged. I removed the compressor to install a new fuel pump. When I discounted the lines there was pressure in them. Not enough to cool the air but at least we no there is no major leaks as the car has been sitting quit a while. The air compressor was reinstalled. I believe the air may only need a charge. The body looks to be in very good shape with no apparent signs of any wrecks. The paint is an older laquer paint job over the original in the factory color. If is older with several imperfections. Classic 20 footer. Looks very good until you are up close. So consider new paint, with very little to no body work to speak of. Brakes have 4 new calipers and pads as well as a new master cylinder with the rotors being turned. Battery is also brand new. Car has been sitting for a while so we replaced the tires with BF Goodrich Radial TA's!I do have a clear Indiana title for the car. Over all a nice little car that needs a few things. L82 Corvettes bring around an extra 1000 to 1500 over a L48. I am going to sell this car to the final bidder regardless of final bid. However this car is also on Craigslist and could be sold at anytime. I would add a button to stop the auction at $7500 but as soon as someone bids it is gone.
