Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford F-100 Styleside Truck(Restored) ½Ton TWIN I-BEAM(It looks like a little toy) I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We received this beautiful solid rust free Texas Truck from an estate. The truck comes with the V-8 engine and with the automatic transmission. The truck was parked as part of a collection since 1997 so the first thing we did was to send it to a mechanic. Here is what the mechanic did: Drained and cleaned the gas tank Replaced the front and rear brake shoes Replaced the front and rear wheel cylinders Replaced the four shocks Replaced the two rear tail lights Changed the oil and filter Replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires Rebuilt the carburetor Replaced the distributor cap A new battery A new oil pressure switch A new license/utility light New Sylvania Xtravision headlamps Then we sent it out to the paint shop. They removed all the paint down to bear metal. They removed the interior and the bed. They primed and painted the truck with a two tone color. The truck has gotten: A brand new paint job New tires A new wooden bed with a new bed frame bolt kit A new grommet for the mirror arm A new tail gate assembly set A new fuel neck grommet Two new park light lenses – amber A new door handle pad set A new upper door panel set - black A new sun visor set – vinyl black A new weather strip set A new set of hub caps – factory A new seat cover All the above work comes with receipts from the vendor who did the work. We have complete pictures of the restoration. Three important things about the truck: First: The truck is absolutely beautiful and runs good, but since it hasn’t been on the road for 14 years it needs to be driven around town for a while before you take it on a long road trip. Second: I ordered four hubcaps for the truck and I forgot that we really need five (one for the spare tire), I’ll order another one by the time the auction is over. Third: The original owner changed the F100 emblem on the driver’s side to an F250 emblem. I think he did it just for the fun of it. We left it as is. The restoration took approximately 4 months. The truck is in excellent shape, but please remember that it is not a hundred point vehicle. The truck comes with a clear Texas title and all the related documents and paperwork such as the original owner’s manual etc. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the truck if you are bidding. Remember that this classic truck is 46 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. I’m into antiquities and I don’t know that much about trucks in detail. Please come and check it as I am expressing how I see the vehicle. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All of this being said please take a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Or come by and check it out in person before you bid. The truck will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. For pricing regarding classical automobiles/bikes you can refer to www.nadaguides.com We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. Good luck and have fun.
