Vehicle Detail

Project Car....THIS CAR ENGINE DOES NOT RUN!!!.... My little blue car gave up on the way to the dealership to have its oil changed. This is a spare vehicle I have and do not plan to fix it. The car is in excellent condition, that is of course, aside the engine. At the time of the incident, the only issue with the car was that the CD did not work. Other than that, everything worked.... This is a one owner car!!! This was my first car ever, bought off brand new off the dealer and did not wanted to part with it, but it is time! I have spoken with several mechanics about the cost of fixing the engine, and have several comments from junk the car, to it's a 40% it survived the event., in other words from $300 to $2,000. It happened on the freeway, as I was accelerating to cruise speed about 55mph when it gave out. Did not hear any noise other than the belt snapping. The first belt I changed it at 100,000 and planned to do the same with this one, but someone told me if i did not change the belt, the engine could be lost....go figure. Here is a list of the maintenance I performed on it: Brand new tires about 8,000 which you can see on the pictures Changed the clutch at around 140,000 miles Replaced wheel rear wheel bearings less than a year ago Replaced cooling fan less than a year ago Both drive belts(a/c, alternator and power stearing) replaced less than 4 months ago Flushed power stearing fluid two moths ago Passed Texas Inspection two months ago. Inspection expires April 2012 It would be a good project car for someone with some mechanic background who has time to work in this car. The junk yard was offering me $300, but the tires cost me more than that and they are somewhat new. I rather sell it to someone that would like to work on it than junk it. Project Car....THIS CAR ENGINE DOES NOT RUN!!!....
