1997 Honda Shadow

Hate to do it, but I am offering for sale my 1997 ACE 1100. For those of you who know what you're looking at, this is the rare single-pin crank motor that Harley Davidson sued Honda for. The engine runs and sounds like a Harley, it has the potato-potato-potato sound. The video shows the bike running, but the sound is not accurately captured. The bike has many replacement parts from top to bottom. It has Saddleman bags, custom front fender, and the exhaust is from a 2000 Aero 1100. It has had the rear baffles removed to improve the sound. It has a nice growl, not too loud, but people know you're coming. Definitely a step up from stock, but not as loud and obnoxious as V&H or Cobras, and doesn't require a rejet. I bought the bike 2 years ago on an out-of-state salvage title, fixed all the problems (twisted forks, rashed pedal) and got it inspected by the State Police and re-titled in Indiana. You should have no problems titling it in your state, I would double-check with your DMV to make sure. I have the clear Indiana title in hand. The bike comes with everything you see. It will also include the Flash2Pass system, which is what makes the garage door go up and down by flashing the brights twice (see video), as well as a Battery Tender. It also includes the Cobra solo seat, and a box full of take-off parts. Both tires are new last season, all fluids have been changed. There are a couple minor dings on the tank, but nothing major. She is in amazing shape for a 14 year old bike. This is a NO EXCUSES, NO PROBLEMS bike! Ride it home worry-free. She is available for inspection in Ft Wayne, IN. NO RIDES unless I have cash in hand. Mileage may change due to nice weather. These single-pins are getting harder and harder to find. If this does not meet my reserve, I will not be re-listing it. The reserve is firm, fair, and NOT going to be disclosed-- but I will say it is less that the Buy It Now prices for the other ACE's on eBay right now. NO trades, unless it's a Corvette.
