Hi I am selling my 1970 AMC Rebel Machine. It is a rare, one year only model, high performance muscle car. This 2 door hardtop is powered by a special factory rated(and back then they rated them below true level for insurance and feds) 340 HP 390 V8 with a unique white with red and blue stripes paint scheme. In addition to the high output 390, it featured a functional hood scoop, hood mounted tachometer, power disc brakes, special suspension & rims, high back bucket seats and "machine" emblems. To make the car even more rare it has the following factory options: automatic transmission, power steering and a factory radio. The car has been a local CT area car all of its life and saw the light of day only in good weather to the tune of 84,585 miles! The car recieved a total restoration 2 years ago by the previous owner. The restoration included a full soda blast to all body parts down to the bare metal which were basically rust free. It was repainted with the correct AMC paint and stripes. The engine and transmission were also rebuilt with AMC OEM/NOS parts to original. All other components were brought back to original quality as well. The dual exhaust was upgraded to 2 1/2 inches for a nice sound also. Again this is a good running, very clean car, nice interior, with a rust free body and undercarriage. It is mechanically sound by inspection. It is a must for any serious AMC collector. The car is free and clear but as a 1970 and registered to me in CT there is no title due to its age, just registration documentation which is legal to sell it from.
