Vehicle Detail

1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle I am selling a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. Beetle has been garage kept since I have owned the car and the previous owner also kept the car covered at all times. The prior owner took the frame off of the car and re-did the bottom, re-built the motor (new motor has less than 250 miles on it), replaced the engine block, checked the clutch, new exhaust lines, replaced the transmission, replaced the front windshield, replaced convertible top and liner including back window, re-upholstered the seats in the front and back, put in new carpet and gave it a new paint job. His paint job is ok, I have seen better. But the car looks and drives great. I have driven this car around town for the last couple of months and it is running pretty good. As the pictures show, there is not much rust to be seen on the outside. Also as you can see from the photos, when the previous owner replaced the top he must have duct taped the back window at some point, as there is some duct tape glue on the outside of the widow. This may be able to be taken off by turpentine or goo gone. Since I have had the car I have replaced the gas tank, carburetor, ignition switch (including new keys), spark plugs and wires, put a seal on the front hood, replaced all of the fuses, fuel lines, fuel filter, 009 distributor with electronic start, air hoses, new super coil, emergency brake cover, gas cap, and speedometer wire, etc. I cant imagine the new owner having to deal with any mechanical issues for a while. Needless to say this thing is running pretty good and should give the new owner plenty of fun during the summer months. There are still a few things that could be upgraded. The previous owner put new upholstery on the seats but failed to put new foam under them, car could also use a few seals (like under the back hood), maybe a stereo. All of the lights including the horn work. I had this car inspected a couple of months ago and we were able to pass it without too much hassle. I am selling this car as-is with no warranty. If you would like to make arrangements to come and view the car prior to auction end you may give me a call and we can work something out. I am a resident of South Weber, Utah. Phone number 801-920-7974. Feel free to come and take the car for a spin if you would like. Email me if you would like to know any more details or if you feel like I have left something out. For payment, we can do a bank transfer or overnight check, whichever you feel most confortable with.
