Vehicle Detail
Here is a rare pontiac ! When is the last time you saw one ?? Its a 1980 Grand Lemans Coupe . This was purchased by my son last year , he wanted to have a cool cruiser , bracket car . Now I have a grandson and the car is still sittin in my garage untouched !!! Let me say first off , this has been sitting for about 8 years. The worst thing is the rear frame rails are rusty , and need to be replaced. Our plans were to tub it , so it really wasn't a concern to us. I do know of a good rear frame clip that I can get cheap. It will start and run , It has really old fuel , it needs the carb. gone through. It has been only driven in my driveway . That being said , let me tell you about the good stuff ! The engine is out of a 73 Grand Prix , its a 400 bored .030 TRW 10/1 pistons . 6X heads milled .030 too . Adjustable rockers , Comp cams 280 Magnum series hyd. cam . 750 Holley carb. Eagle one headers . Double roller timing chain Turbo 400 with a B&M shift kit , heavy clutches ,TCI street fighter converter 2500 stall , B&M Quick silver shifter. 3:73 Positraction rear end with richmond gears. The whole driveline has about 5 K on it . The body wears a harwood functional cowl scoop molded onto the stock hood. The body is in pretty good shape , it does have minor rust , very restorable though. The pictures make it look a little better than it really is. The interior is real nice with the exception of the headliner , foam still there , but the material is long gone. The factory bench seat has been modified to fit around the shifter. Looks cool . Power windows and locks. The rims are American Racing modular. 14s in front and 15s in the rear. Newer radial T/A tires . Previous owner had this almost 20 years. This would really make a cool car with some work . My son can't afford to do anything with it , I plan on moving soon , so heres your chance ! If you have a question please ask , I just want the buyer to be happy , I will answer questions asap. Please , check my feedback , I am straight up with anything I sell , I expect the same from the buyer. I will accept paypal for the downpayment of $200. ONLY !!! Balance in folding paper only . Good luck and happy biddingOn May-27-11 at 18:18:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of questions about the car . Yes it is for sale locally too. Cash is king , so HIGHEST BID GETS IT !!! The rear frame is soft , rusty and needs repair or replacement. It can be fixed or as we planned , backhaved and tubbed. With some work , this could be a really cool weekend cruiser or fun cheap bracket car. Not a high doller 700 hp Killer , but a fun car never the less. If you are looking for a jump in a drive it car , this ain;t the one for you. If you are willing to do some work , this can be a one of a kind cruiser , for a fraction of the cost. Happy Bidding .On May-28-11 at 12:56:39 PDT, seller added the following information: The Lemans is For Sale Locally too , I have had 2 people look at the car today , I have 2 offers , both are higher than the bidding is as of now. If you are a SERIOUS BUYER , give it your best shot . If You wait till the last second it may be too late. Any more questions , contact me through E BAY.
