Vehicle Detail

1947 STUDEBAKER 1/2 Ton Pick-up Truck with the Complete Drive Train out of a running FOX-Body Mustang ('86 we think). Has a Mustang 302(5.0-HO) with Bonsatti Stainless Steel Headers, Mufflers and one tailpipe. Mustang Automatic Transmission, Front Suspension, Steering, Rear End and Brakes. Has a power brake booster (not on) and new shocks. If the wiring scares you (it does me), then you can order a simple harness for a Fuel Injected 5.0 from Auto-Wire or other suppliers. Truck was taken in as payment on work and therefore never finished or run. Only looking to get out of it what was owed for the work as there is a lot more money in parts and labor in it than we are asking. CLEAR TITLE. The truck is VERY SOLID with any needed patches done on the cab. Seat riser is still in excellent condition, floor has one patch per side and a console has been built (shifter is in the parts). Drivers door is very good with no bottom rust, passenger door has a bottom patch panel and an extra very good passenger door is in the cab. Has an extra good hood and two good tailgates (one is taller ?). One ok running board, no rear fenders (one in picture is a modified Chevy). A pair of fiberglass fenders either 2" or 4" wider cost about $400. Has both bumpers and one set of braces, all the dash pieces, headlight buckets, trim, regulators, door glass moldings, almost NOS hood nose ornament, door handles, gauges, vents, sunvisors, new rubber pieces and on and on are in the bed or shown in the pictures of the parts laid out on the ground. If you want to see how GREAT one of these look finished as a Rod, then look at the February 2004 issue of "Classic TRUCKS" at a beautiful yellow and pewter one. These and Hudson pick-ups looked like they had a chopped top from the factory. Did you know the front and rear fenders are interchangeable by switching sides, then caddy-corner. Running boards are also the same...Studebakers were ahead of the times! I have a truck & car trailer and can deliver locally (Tampa/West coast of FL.) for gas money or arrange shipment for .75 cents/mile one way. Tom 1957cobra (813) 833-9853
