EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY ALL ORIGINAL 1972 TOYOTA CELICA ST THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST SOUGHT AFTER MODELS OF CELICA (BEFORE LIFT BACK'S, GT'S AND 5 SPEEDS)STILL IN ORIGINAL CONDITION I AM THE SECOND OWNER. I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM A LOT WHO RECEIVED THE CAR AS A DONATION FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I PURCHASED THE CAR MID-DECEMBER 2010. THE VEHICLE WAS A GOOD RUNNING CAR BUT NEEDED A CLUTCH TO BE A GOOD DRIVER AS WELL. SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR A NEW COMPLETE CLUTCH KIT HAS BEEN INSTALLED. ALSO NEW INCLUDES: A REAR MAIN OIL SEAL, OIL PAN GASKET, FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTER, SLAVE CYLINDER, SPARK PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, ROTOR, POINTS, CONDENSER CONDITION: The overall condition of the car is amazingly good for being almost 40 years old. Once warmed up the vehicle runs and drives very good and shifts very smoothly. All lights and gauges work correctly except the fuel gauge drops to E when it dips below three quarters of a tank. According to the book this might be an easy fix but I have not yet looked at it. I filled the tank with super and drove the car 250 miles on the tank before refilling. I would not hesitate to drive this car on a long trip. EXTERIOR- The exterior is in overall really good condition for the age with all original vinyl top, paint, decals, wheels, hubcaps and no rust. The original vinyl top still looks great but has a few small bubbles starting under the vinyl below the rear windshield(only bubbles I have noticed). There is a small ding on the hood which chipped the paint(it is very fixable). There was a push in dent in the rear passenger side quarter panel that has been pushed back out( no filler or paint) still all original and looks good and could be made near perfect by the right person. A couple of spots with chipped paint as well as some paint cracking on the passenger side front fender. The paint on the driver side rear quarter panel is fading but looks like it could be buffed out to its original color(I have not attempted). I don't want to make the exterior sound worse than it is this is a really nice looking car but it has a few issues that could be fixed to make it look perfect. The pictures are a good representation of the car. INTERIOR- The interior is all original and very nice(SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT). The things that look nearly mint are the headliner, visors, dash, instrument panel, center console, passenger seat and carpet, rear seat and carpet, door panels, rear panels. NO HOLES HAVE BEEN CUT OUT FOR SPEAKERS. This vehicle even has the original radio that still sounds great. The drivers seat shows a light amount of wear on the center pad and has a small 3" tear along the seam on the seat. The tear is very fixable and is currently being covered buy a 4" piece of black electrical tape to prevent the tear from increasing in size before it can be fixed. The drivers side carpet has wear and would need to be replaced or covered to look good. Drivers side window does not work properly. MOTOR- The motor is a stock 18r-c with the original 4 speed THE VEHICLE IS ALSO BEING SOLD LOCALLY SO IF THE AUCTION ENDS EARLY IT IS SOLD.
