1992 Honda Accord Station Wagon – Good Project Car – As Is Up for auction is a 1992 Honda Accord EX Wagon with very low miles (65,000) and an excellent running engine. Two years ago this car was in outstanding near-mint condition, purchased with very low miles from the original owner. Unfortunately it has since been in two significant accidents, the most recent being a front end collision which is partially repaired and shown clearly in the photos. Prior to this was a rear passenger side collision which was professionally repaired. Aside from the accidents, it has been well maintained and recently had brakes done and a new battery installed. Comes with a set of snow tires (two need replacing) installed and a full set of regular tires in very good condition. The car is in currently in roadworthy condition and has been driven as-is over the last several months without issues. There engine turns over easily and sounds great. Currently it has snow tires left over from the winter, two of which show bubbles on a warm day. If you are traveling far, you should probably plan to put the regular tires on before traveling any distance. The car is being sold as is. Known issues: 1. The front end is pushed in on the driver’s side. Looks like 1+ inches, enough that the replacement hood and front panel don’t quite fit properly and the signal light is missing. See the photos for more detail. 2. The ABS light comes on while driving. When the brakes were done this was noted, and we were told that we could repair/replace part of the computer system which may be malfunctioning. However the brakes are working fine, and our mechanic said it was not a serious problem. However it is recommended that you have a mechanic look at the problem and get a second opinion. 3. Two of the snow tires show bubbles (both shown in photos) and should be replaced. Regular tires are in good shape and should be put on the car after purchase. 4. In reverse, the engine idles very low. Seems to work fine, but worth noting. 5. There is a hole in the muffler or exhaust system, so the car has that throaty sound. Not terribly loud, but noticible. 6. The car has been smoked in and smells like smoke. 7. Not sure of the state of the car stereo and various buttons switches. Maybe fine, but it is an older car and probably has some minor issues there too. Lots of good pictures tell the story best, below.
