Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Chevelle Malibu, buckseat/console car. Paint code MM-Aztec Bronze ext. with Fawn Interior. It has the original 283 (needs rebuilt) powerglide and 308 rearend (non-posi). The powerglide has been looked at, I was told it is very functional. The frame/frontend and rearend have been all rebuilt, painted and powder coated.* Frontend has all new bearings, tie rods, brakes, shocks, bolts, bushings and steering hardware. * Frame has been painted, new fuel lines and rear brake line* Rearend is the original non-posi 308, its been totally gone through and set up by professional shop with new bearings, spider gears, brakes, shocks and sealsThis car has been methodically stripped naked and all rust repaired. Repair consists of new quarters, lower fenders, full trunk, lower in/out inner fenders and spots around the back window, also four floor spots. Passenger front fender has new dog leg but still needs patch panel installed.Car has clear Oregon title with a vintage parade plates, meaning you do not have to renew ever. Please look at all the pictures, those pictures are EXACTLY what I received with the car when I bought it two years ago out of Silverton Oregon. I threw in bucket seats to further complete the interior. I also have black door panels and kick panels, which I will negotiate with new owner, if he/she wants to change interior color Fawn to black. This is a great start for a person that wants a project with all the difficult work already done. With the car, which is naked, you can choose your colors or continue to go back original.Parts that I know are missing:- Speedo, exhaust, misc. bezels, front blinker lights, fuel tank, but I do have an old fuel tank that can go with the car. I am sure that there are more small misc. pieces also missing. Please look at all the pictures and email me with any questions. I will answer with the best of my knowledge. If you are local and would like to stop by and take a look, please let me know.Hub caps DO NOT come with car. This is an auction, please do not ask my reserve, car is advertised locally. I will end auction early if situation, buyer and cash is the right one. Below is a link to the Photobucket slideshow of the chevelle. Please copy and paste this link into your address bar to view the slideshow;http://s959.photobucket.com/albums/ae71/Tessa_Matteson/Aztec%20Chevelle/ On May-14-11 at 08:37:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to add a comment about the body, after installing new (quarters)(full trunk)(floor patches)(inner lower fenders)(outer lower fenders) I methodically welded all areas with care and took my time to make sure every body line matched up. Also replaced seam filler where it needed it. I used (All METAL) over welds, this product prevents against moisture and allows final body(bondo and primer) work to adhere. The body needs still your basic body work, primer-bondo-blocking all the fun stuff. On May-17-11 at 17:58:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had some great questions about structural support during the fabrication of this chevelle, specifically during replacing both quarters. We welded in cross supports in the door jams.We welded in diagonal cross members inside cab area. We also welded in horizontal and vertical cross members in the trunk area. I took measurements before and after fab work and they were the same. Both doors and trunk have good gaps and will be easy to obtain again after paint job. The total ground up work on this chevelle , to current date, has been photo documented along with my receipts.
