Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1969 Camaro SS350 clone. It is yellow with black stripes and a black interior. It was brought out of long term storage about 2 months ago when I found it and bought it. It appears to have been restored and put into storage a short time later. It cleaned up nicely and as you can see in the pictures, it looks great. It has a really nice looking body with mostly new or nice original metal. I was told this car was restored back in 90’s when you could still easily buy GM metal. In my opinion, the Paint job is a strong 8 on a scale of 1 to10 (but 10 is EXTREMELY rare and hard to find anywhere). It would be a great parade car or hobby show car and it is an excellent driver that seems to run fantastic. It commands attention everywhere it goes. According to the guy I bought it from, it has a non original 350 in it, and possibly the original turbo 350 transmission. He built this car for his (then) high school son, but instead of his son driving the wheels off it, it looks like he parked it. He then moved away for college and a career and left it at home in the garage for about the last decade plus. This car runs and drives great. The tires are in great shape, and the interior is nice. The only items I need to mention are the headliner and dash pad. The headliner has a few wrinkles in it but could probably be stretched and re-glued (it looks to me as if it came loose along the edges in the back). The original dash pad is also not perfect, but truthfully it isn’t that much of an eye-sore the way it is. I tend to be picky, so I'm pointing these items out so there are no disappointments. The upholstery is all nice, and door panels appear to be new. The carpet is new. The engine runs great and the brakes are new. The way I see it, this car really doesn’t need much of anything the way it is. It’s ready to be driven and enjoyed right now, and is definitely one sharp and solid car. Please contact me with any questions you might have. The car can be seen by appointment. For the winning bidder, I require a $500 deposit within 1 business day of the end of the auction, either by Paypal, bank wire, or next day air UPS or FedEx. The balance is due within 5 business days of the end of the auction, or when the car is picked up (whichever happens first). The car and title will be released only after full payment has been received. Any method of payment other than bank wire transfer or cash will require verification before releasing the car & title. (please contact me with any questions about this before you bid). The car should be picked up as soon as possible, but please let me know if you need more than the normal week or two - I will do everything I can to work with you. I will also work with your transportation company if you choose to go that route. Again, this really is a respectable car, so bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck.
