Up for bids is this nice, one owner Subaru Outback.  I bought this car here in Portland back in '98 for my wife, it has had excellent service and care, oil changes every 3000 miles, and all of Subaru's recommended service events strictly adhered to.  I have receipts for all of this service work, I have all of the original brochures and manuals, the original dealer paperwork, even the window sticker from new.  The car has served our family well, and has provided reliable transportation for many road trips around the Pacific Northwest.  It was primarily used around town, thus the low miles of 80K.  I recently surprised my wife with a new Outback, thus the reason for the sale, and although my wife is pleased with her new car I think she'd would have actually preferred to keep the '98.  As they say, a reluctant sale. The paint is original and in nice condition, still glossy and new looking.  The body has a few door dings, but no big dents or scrapes.  Oregon does not salt its roads, thus you will find NO RUST problems anywhere on this car.  The front and rear bumpers show some scrapes from parallel parking, I have a quote of $600 to repaint them, if that's something you would want to have done I can arrange to have it completed here before delivery.  The tires are quality Yokohama Avids with good tread.  A light duty tow hitch has been installed, perfect for attaching a bike carrier. The car has recently been detailed and is very clean.  The interior is in good shape with no stains, rips or tears.  The seats have become a bit sun faded, otherwise this interior is excellent. Clean door jambs, all of the car's weatherstripping is in good condition. All of the car's accessories work correctly, Cruise, AC, Radio/Cassette, etc.  There are no electrical gremlins, glitches or problems, everything is working. Power windows, power door locks both work well.  No cracks or splits on the dash. Carpet underneath the cargo mat is mint, spare tire and toolkit underneath are unused.  Headliner is clean with no rips or stains. Excellent engine bay, all stock Subaru, right down to the hose clamps.  The car has been in the care of the same mechanic for the last 32,000 miles.  If you live in the Portland area and are looking for a GREAT Subaru specialist, try Rich at Superior Import Repair www.fixmysuby.com. The car has had the major 60K service work done, which included a new timing belt, new crank seal, new serpentine belt, and all new brakes pads and fluid.  At 70K the automatic transmission was flushed and refilled, along with the front and rear differentials.  At that time the air filter and fuel filter were also changed. The car is extremely reliable and has never failed us.  Due to its excellent service history, it has a long life ahead of it.
