1995 Mercedes E320 Wagon. No Reserve Auction. I bought this car used in Chicago 12/05 when the car had 103K miles. The car has been a reliable daily driver since. I commute to the inner Suburbs and this car never let me down. car now has 217K miles. Gets about 23-25 MPG. All Gauges work fine. No chips or cracks in any glass. Electric seats work good (except the headrest portions?) All electric windows work fine. Front seats have seat warmers that work. Electric mirrors work. This has been a well used and well enjoyed family car for over 100K miles. Car has lots of life left but it is a 16 year old car with 217K miles. Lots of wear and paint chips. Cars ALWAYS look better in pictures than they do in person! This car still looks and drives very nice, but is starting to show it's age in a couple of areas: The Good: Drive ANYWHERE, no road issues. Starts, stops, drives, turns, as a mercedes should. Very clean and shiny: car has always been kept clean and well cared for, always garaged and properly maintained. Reliable. New tires last spring (they have 10K miles on them) New exhaust from the CAT back last Fall. oil changed every 4-5K miles by myself (sump holds 8.2 qts). The bad: There are some small areas of rust bubbling up here and there; Around the drivers side rear passenger door handle, The seams between the rear fender and the rear bumper (both sides) above the chrome trim. and other tiny areas. The air conditioning stopped working last summer: I had the system checked and charged in June 2010 for $220. The AC work fine until mid August when it slowly quit. Could be a big issue? could be small? I had the system charged about everyother summer I owned the car, so it's probaby a slow leak in the system. BUT I DON"T KNOW. AC DOES NOT WORK. Radio works fine, But the Rear CD changer has been missing since I bought the car and the front speakers are 'scratchy' and need to be renewed. Front Valance (plastic under the front bumper) has a couple of broken areas and chips in the plastic. the car comes with a new replacement Valance that I never got around to replacing. Lots of paint chips and minor scratches. Car has been a daily driven family car. The Alloy wheels are dirty and the clear coat is coming off, they could look better with some work. Hood ornament (Mercedes star) has broken off The Ugly: Rear Hatch back has some light damage. Hatch opens and closes and locks fine. I transported dogs in this car (daily). Car is very clean, but you NEVER get all the dog hair out! I live about 1.5 hours Southwest of the loop/Chicago. Sheridan, IL. Car is for sale locally. I preferr cash, but I will except any form of payment. Funds must be liquid in my account before the car and title is turned over. Please don't waste my time. This is a solid car for the money. Comes with owners manual, Shop manual, 3 oil filters, air filter . And a new front Valance (you don't have to take this if you don't want it) and anything else I can find for the car.
