Welcome to my 1988 Honda CRX SI listing! This car looks fantastic and performs like a beast! It is a CHAMPION!I bought the car in late '08 from a true Honda Enthusiast who has many years of experience working on and upgrading various types of automobiles. He owns many Honda's including 2 S2000's. This CRX was his summer car for several years. That being said he fully built this car from the inside out and did all the work himself, the right way! I list this because many CRX's have been modified and worked on by inexperienced amateur mechanics. This guy knew what he was doing and it shows when you take this thing on the road! Don't be fooled by the 114,000 miles, which is actually low for the year, as this engine has not lost a second of compression, it kicks like nothing else and most assuredly it is in it's prime. Unlike so many faulty CRX builds, this car retains it's original sweet 4 cylinder 1.6L D16A6 engine! Please note that this car has never been abused or raced. The previous owner whom I bought the car from is a performance enthusiast and took pride in building a quick, great looking machine. This ride has been my daily driver for over 2 1/2 years and the only reason I am selling it is because I need a larger vehicle for my new business. Mechanically this car is in perfect condition, and it drives straight as an arrow, it is also very quick but well suited as a daily driver. Brakes are in very good condition. All four tires are relatively new with only 10k to 15k miles on them, they've already been rotated once. Every year I've owned the car I've gotten an alignment and it recently just had the tires rotated and a full alignment when I replaced the clutch less than 5k miles ago. I can attest to the fact that I and the previous owner always changed the oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles with nothing but the best Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Oil. This car not only looks sweet as apple pie, but it also performs with the best of them, use 91 grade and above gasoline! Anytime the car has needed something fixed I have not hesitated in getting it fixed. Price of this auction reflects the extreme care and maintenance I have taken with this car. It has been babbied! And it should be babied by you as well! This is a very rare car and it is also the predecessor to the new CRX Honda Sport Hybrid. I say own the Original!Please feel free to ask me any questions, I am here for you! **In keeping with full disclosure, there are a couple of imperfections with the car and they are as follows:1. The sunroof works fine, however when you first push the "sunroof open button" it may not open the sunroof right away, you may need to push it and hold it down a couple of times before it starts to open. Once it starts to open it it will open it all the way and close without a problem.2. The paint still looks nice however there are some surface scratches here and there and a deeper scratch on the front driver's side door which I have documented with a photograph in this listing. 3. Also there are a couple of minor cracks (by minor I would say that they are four to five inches in length and paper thin) on the interior dash board near the window. These cracks are barely noticeable and you don't even see them when you're sitting in the car. You have to look at the part of the dashboard that is closest to the windshield to see these tiny cracks, see photos below.4. Passenger's side exterior splash guard is missing. Check Pictures.5.
