1970 Chevelle LS6 4-speed. I just finished a 2 1/2 year complete frame off nut and bolt restoration on this very rare car. As you can see from the photos this is the real deal 1970 LS6 chevelle It is in the LS6 registry. I have three build sheets from this car one was removed from the gas tank,Its tatered but very legible, One removed from the back seat thats in great shape and one that is still attached to the door panel and its in great condition. I am told there could be another one on top of the head liner. I did not remove the original head liner its still in mint condition so its possible to have another one there. The motor and transmission are correct for the car with the VIN #'s all matching I have photos. I had the motor transmission and rearend all gone through. The motor still remains all stock with its original crank, rods and pistons I have photos of it all. Just boiled the block and installed new rings bearings seals etc. The correct part number and dated heads were checked and new hardened seats installed for our wonderful new gas. I have photos of these as well.Transmission was gone through and installed new bearings seals etc as well as the rear end mechanic said they were both in excellent condition.All the engine components are original on the car, carburetor, alternator,smog pump,diverter valve and starter all with the correct part numbers and date codes NO RESTAMPS I have photos of all these as well.The frame and all the suspension components were blasted VIN number and date found and refinished with epoxy primer and Duponts Hot Hues matte black paint.All new bushings, brake lines, gas lines and clips were installed But still retains its original rear brake drums (date coded) and front two piece rotors. All 5 stock SS wheels were blasted and refinished with the correct colors all AO codes match as well as the dates. New tires NOS center caps and NOS beauty rings installed. The body was in great shape when I got the car with only very minor rust on lower 1/4 panels and front fenders all the floors and trunk pan are original and in great shape even around the back window was nice I have photos of everything. The body was completly stripped to bare steel and refinished with all PPG products Delton 2000 DBC base coat paint and Concept 2021 clear coat was used on top. Its very straight with an excellent shine.All the glass even the windshield is original. All the emblems and wheel opening moldings are NOS The rest of the moldings have been refinished and polished. The bumpers and door handles are original (rechromed) they look great. The interior got a freshening up with new carpet.back dash,door panels,seat covers and NOS window cranks. Still retians the original dash pad steering colum AM 8 track tape. I had the stock stereo speakers rebuilt everything works and it sounds great. I am sure you will have questions so please don't hesitate to ask .If you want to see a certain photo of something I'm sure I have it and can email it to you. I have been in the body shop business my entire life and have never spent this much time researching and restoring one car before so I don't think you will be disappionted in any aspect of this car unfortunatly I must sell this one I need the $$$.I truly enjoyed doing this car and would seriously consider a partial trade on another 1970 chevelle LS6 LS5 or SS convertible documented PROJECT car only!!!
