1982 Honda CM450A

This auction is for one used 1982 Honda CM450A automatic transmission 450cc twin cylinder chain drive motorcycle. The overall condition is very good.The engine is clean with no leaks, the transmission works with no trouble. Lights and instruments all work. Paint is very good condition with some small scratches and chrome is in good condition with some spots of rust The front tire is an new Bridgestone Spitfire 11F size 100/90-18M/C 56H. There are new front brake pads as well as new front fork seals installed. The rear brakes are also new. Inside of the fuel tankis very clean. The seat is on good condition, there are three tears in th cover shown in pictures.That was the good. The carbs are not working right, they have been cleaned twice with some improvement but still not right. When using the electric start the starter gear grinds but worked better when the battery was new, I suspect it does not fully engage when the battery is low so I just kick start it. The front brake master cylinder sticks, it has been cleaned which helped but probably needs a rebuild kit. There is some valve clatter when the engine runs. That was the bad. The rear tire has good tread and holds air but has this big ugly fuzzy tire plug in it, I've had this bike about 2 years now with the same tire but haven't ridden it very much, so that's the ugly. I am selling the bike as is no title with a bill of sale. I am trying to sell the bike as a runner that, with some work, could make a daily driver that should save gas, be fun and easy to ride. I will part this one out if needed as the tank, side covers, front end, wheels and tire, fenders and instruments can be worth more than the whole bike.
