1992 GMC Typhoon. 4.3 liter v6, turbocharged and intercooled. 4 speed automatic transmission, all wheel drive. 97k original miles, power windows, locks, air conditioning, cruise, control, cd player, leather interior, and power mirrors. The truck starts right up, has great oil pressure, doesn't run hot, and shifts perfectly. It does however have a miss at idle that is consistent with a burned valve or bad injector. It does not consume any oil, smoke, or make any engine noise, and it has had new plugs and wires installed. I had been planning on investigating the problem further, but have not had any time or money to do so. The truck does still run and drive. the brake light stays on, not sure why but the brakes work well. No rust or body damage other than the usual scratches and dings that would be expected of a truck that is nearly 20 years old. Appears to have been well taken car of it's whole life. Interior is very clean, leather is in good shape. Dash cap is cracked and driver side door panel has a crack in the plastic. I have a replacement door panel that goes with the sale. Paint is in decent shape, but has some imperfections on the hood and some scratches on the passenger side door. I tried to take some pictures of theses, but they are so minor they don't show up. Some of the body cladding has some cracks in it, I have a used replacement for the passenger side rear that goes with the sale. The truck has a beautiful set of BBS wheels with new tires. It has been lowered but still rides very well. I do not have the original wheels and tires. Other modifications include an aftermarket cold air intake, hot wire kit for the intercooler pump, blowoff valve, and some autometer fuel pressure and boost gauges installed on the a pillar. Included with the sale will be a used upgraded turbo, 3 inch downpipe, driveshaft safety loops, adjustable trailing arms, braided stainless oil feed line kit, fuel pump hotwire kit, window sweep seals, and a replacement heater core. The heater core is suspected of having a leak, and the air conditioner needs to be evacuated and recharged. It has a new compressor that was replaced because of a clutch problem. Overall, this a nice truck that has a lot of potential. It just needs a little work. It is not a rust bucket or a basket case like a lot of these have become over the years. I got this truck in trade and have always wanted one, but the current economy is not allowing me to keep my toys. I had big plans for this truck, and hope to see it go to a good home.
