You are bidding on a 1957 XK140MC Coupe with factory overdrive. This Jaguar is all numbers matching expect for the cylinder head which is a factory MC cylinder head but not the original one that came with the car. The MC coupes are a more desirable car and have a much lower production number. The data plate numbers for this Jaguar are as follows: chassis S815041dn engineg5790-8s body number J5514 gearbox number is JLE 32846 The data plate that comes with this car is the original data plate that came with the car when it was new. This Jaguar comes with a clear Florida title and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certification. The original color combinations are pastel green exterior and suede green interior. This Jaguar has had alot of restoration work done to it. Below I'm going to describe what work has been done. This Jaguar has had all of the metal work completed, the areas were metal work was completed are the d post area, the door sills, the rear truck floor and sides, new fire wall. All new battery boxes and battery box doors as well as two new 6 volt heavy duty batteries and the correct battery cables come with this car as well as rear mud shields. Also This car comes with a new set of drip rail moldings, you can see these in the picture section with all the parts. This work was done a few years ago at a professional restoration shop, and it was done correctly. The doors decklid and bonnet fit nicely and have been lined up. The rear quarter panels are currently not installed on this car, but will come with the car. The rear quarter panels are at the body shop getting primed. The panels are in good shape.The body of this car is ready for block work to begin and then is ready to paint. The chassis has been completly redone. The chassis was bead blasted to bare metal then it was powdercoated. All of the mechanical parts were replaced or rebuilt. The rear end was completly redone as well. The engine has just been completed and was professionally rebuilt and runs very nice. The cylinder head was also rebuilt as well as the carburetors. The radiator was record, and the starter and generator and water pump were rebuilt. If you look at one of the pics I entered into the pic section of this listing you will see the raised letter C thats in the middle of the cylinder head, this is correct and this shows you that this is an authentic MC head. The car comes with a all new fuse boxes and has its original heater. The windshield wiper motor has been professionally rebuilt. The car does currently brake and start up. The car also runs now and starts right up. All of the exterior chrome has been professionally redone to a high standard the only item that hasn t been rechromed is the front grill and the rear taillight housings as well as the door handles. These items are in good shape but should be rechromed for show car. The rear taillight housings arent pictured in the picture section with the other parts, but they due come with the car. This car comes with its original gauges and interior wood, the gauges look great but should be rebuilt before they go back on the road. Car has all original switches and a brand new correct turn signal switch.The original interior woodwork including dash and metal dash backing plate come with car. The wood needs to be redone for show standards. This car comes with new seat wood and very nice seat frames and seat backs. This car doesnt come with an interior kit. All of the interior chrome pieces are new such as window cranks window crank bases, door knobs, door knob plates chrome seat bolts, dash bezel kit. Also a exterior buld kit was purchased so you will have all your exterior light bulbs. front window glass is original and is like new, rear glass is perfect, and the car comes with brand new triplex door glass. The small windows that are behind the door glass is also in perfect shape. Car comes with new factory correct red jack as well as ratchet, and a new tool wrap minus the tools. The steering wheel is brand new as well. The tires are new and the chrome wheels are as well. This car is all complete and is missing the following items, interior kit,overdrive switch,horns,wiring harness. This car needs block work to begin on body and then it needs paintwork then final assembly, I have lost interest in this project and Have had alot of the work done.
