1978 Honda cx500

This is a 1978 Honda cx500 built in 2010 for the Discovery Channel HD Theater series "Cafe Racer". I built this bike over a period of 4 months and then was filmed by the Discovery Channel doing so. The bike and I are featured in episode 4, 5 and 6. I will include a copy of the episodes with the bike. This bike is built to perfection. Everything is either new or rebuilt, everything has been powdercoated painted or polished. New bearings, tires, brakes, battery etc. I built this bike to look as though it came off a Honda showroom floor and were manufactured by Honda, it is that clean! When I built this bike I made sure it had everything legal, turn signals, horn etc.. I also designed it to accept a 2 up seat so with the switch of a seat you can carry a passenger, (not included but can negotiate or you can purchase a new one) you will not see this on many cafe bikes. Because of this feature I opted to simply move the rider pegs back and up instead of rearsets. If this doesn't work for you we can discuss the possibility of changing to rearsets for additional cost. I am 6ft and find the riding position comfortable along with a comfortable seat. If you are taller than 6ft and find the riding position uncomfortable we can discuss the options of adjusting things. The bike has approximately 100 miles on it since it was finished. I am a master motorcycle mechanic with more than 30 years of bike experience of which the last 11 were spent at a Harley Davidson dealership. I am not a hack and do not just throw these things together, they are meteculously built.
